Could someone remind me what happened to Plouffe's thumb? I can't remember how he got the injury.

Got jammed on a pitch.

Not as excruciating as listening to Dick harp incessantly on his delivery.

"Have I told you how often he strikes out?"

The Twins just play the game the right way. Like, getting the first two batters of the inning on base and not even advancing them.

I blame Casilla bunting/hitting skills for that one. The ball that that Span hit could have fallen in the CF was slower.

The good news is that Diamond is perfect through 3.

I agree with you on that one. It's just frustrating how bad the Twins have been the last two years in situations like that. They don't do the little things anymore.

Agreed. The little things used to be what they were good at.

Morneau is already having a great game though. Let's hope he keeps this going.

102 pitches is high point for Diamond this yr (5 of 14 over 100)....will gardy pull him at 100 pitches with either a no hitter, or a shutout, or a chance to not use the pen????

Well, it's not like he's reading this thread, but you're right. No more talk about that.

I would think Diamond is one of the ones who Gardenhire would let stretch out to 110-115. After 110 I would pull him and don't worry about it. His left arm in the next couple years is potentially more valuable than any special accomplishment. And by the time it gets to that decision, it should only be using one bullpen arm, maybe two and that isn't the worst thing with yesterday's off day.

Well, damn. This is turning into a good old fashioned ass kicking.

And in typical twins fashion, they will lose the next two and waste all their runs tonight....can they put up 20 though?
