Yunal Escobar got tossed for drawing in the dirt.  He was drawing where the Short Stop usually stands.  He was tossed by the home plate umpire.

I'm still not sure what he got ejected for but it looked like it was due to his reaction to the bad check swing call, possibly quipping something at the 3B umpire. I'm surprised by the quick hook but arguing balls/strikes is always a risk to end badly. I wish the umps had thicker skin than that.

Deadspin infers it's a home plate that he drew.

 

Better than the obscene artwork I was guessing he had chosen to grace the upper deck fans with....

I'm reading that

 

"replays showed that Escobar appeared to taunt Timmons by drawing something in the infield dirt."  

 

and

 

"So, Yunel Escobar was ejected for drawing a home plate in the dirt behind third base to instruct the umpires, which, wow." 

 

Escobar may have thought it funny, but taunting a HomePlate Ump on a controversial check swing is not a good idea.

Looked to me like he was drawing an arrow pointing to the 3B ump.  Dunno.  Pretty ridiculous.
