Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 and I keep asking myself, "why does Molitor keep bringing in his best relievers in games the Twins are losing?"right on cue, Abad surrenders his first hit to a lefty this season. (I think that's the first one.) And of course Molitor goes to the pen to bring in yet another relief pitcher in a game that's out of reach. Is it 2017 yet?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 When your former lefty specialist can't get a lefty out, that's abad sign of things to come.

twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I can't believe how many hits the A's had tonight into the left center field gap.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 When your former lefty specialist can't get a lefty out, that's abad sign of things to come. It wasn't Abad pitch... If he would have thrown Abad Pitch... Things would have been fine.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 This is turning out to be an even more disappointing thing to stay up late for than that Halloween when I was seven and skipped trick or treating... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K0VdlDql2wQ/VFJEVpuflYI/AAAAAAAAHYc/gKeAzGio2XA/s1600/Linus%2BAlone.png
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 For an example of how tired I am. I just checked the Red Wings Box Score to find out how Buxton was doing. How'd Kepler do?
David HK Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 So, let's see, Molly, I think maybe we'll bring in the lefty here, to pitch to a guy who's caught him his whole career in Oakland, and has seen and even called a few hundred pitches of his... What could possibly happen?
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Nice to see us end the month on a high note!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Perfectly understandable mistake swing by Arcia on the high fastball. In the heat of the moment, anybody can forget they're not 8 feet tall.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 At least they had the decency to lose it in 9 instead of making me think the Great Pumpkin was just about to rise up from left center in the 12th. See you all later this afternoon. Pleasant dreams.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Welp. That's it then. All that romanticism about old-time radio and such was lost on these guys tonight. Ah, at least I got to share it with y'all. How about we get a manager who doesn't put a couple of gigantic holes in key spots in the lineup, so that every time we do have a little rally, it gets quickly squelched? And how about leaving the kid who's learning and producing out there in NY right where he is, to groove some positive freakin' nerve synapses into his noggin, and not drag him back here to save this woebegone season? And how about... oh, never mind, you're all in bed by now, and I'm well behind on that presentation for Friday assembly.

Buddy B. Who is he? How did we get him? Why have we been stashing him in EST all these years?

It's not like a day game was scheduled the following day :-)

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I didn't get it either. Does it have something to do with the F word? That's where I was going with it. I wasn't much of a musician. In the B Flat Chord. The B Flat is the rootD is the thirdF is the Fifth If you... instead of playing an F... play an F# The chord is now called B Flat Augmented. (Bb+) That explanation is the best I can do and probably wrong.
