twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 That was a poor hitting experience by the Twins...Or Madson was stellar. Probably the later.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 One managerial decision didn't lose the game for us . . . except for bunting Nunez. jokin and cjj td 2
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 At least our final outfield configuration of Escobar-Grossman-Arcia can't be held responsible.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I've missed most of this game. Storms rolling through... reports of hail so we decide to move our outside cars to a parking ramp. Get back and we need hamburger buns so I go get them and then I get back and sit down and it turns out we need something else at the store so back I go. I'm back again and sitting down and I'm hoping to see the last inning but I'm guessing we will have to go pick up the cars soon. Memorial Day Baseball!!! Riverbrian 1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) EDIT: I guess my magic incantation didn't work Might want to go with 'didn't work as intended'. That would explain both the end of the win streak and some very strange and messy goings on in my utility room this afternoon: http://www.blastr.com/sites/blastr/files/images/SorcerersApprentice-thumb-330x234-12052.jpg Oh well, that's what home owner's insurance is for. The utility room, not the broken win streak. They'll need a new incantation for that. Edited May 30, 2016 by LaBombo
David HK Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 3. Bedtime – If you have to memorize something… experts say that the best thing to do is to study right before bed and right after waking. In a nutshell… too much crap happens during the main waking hours of the day to keep you from retaining new information. I can personally say that this method does indeed work because every night I read Twins Daily and every morning I read Twins Daily and can easily remember that the Twins have won 4 games in a row.River, that was a nice tribute to those guys whose names crackled out of my radio on summer nights long ago, thanks for that. Also for observation #3- see, that's just my problem with day games- they start when I've gone to bed, and end before I wake up, so I have these lucid moments of posting at midnight, and 6am, which too often result in quizzical comments on the TD board. Now I understand, that it's God's Own Flashlight illuminating my thoughts. Huzzah. Riverbrian and LaBombo 2
tharasix Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Poor management call there. You sacrifice Nunez who's hitting .338 to set up Dozier hitting about .200 and prone to strikeouts. Like you couldn't see that strikeout coming from a mile away. Pathetic. I was screaming at the radio that no, Dan Gladden, this isn't a bunt situation. We need one run to tie the game. We have a runner in scoring position and our hottest hitter at the plate. Don't take the bat out of his hands and give them an out! As soon as he laid down the bunt, I figured the game was over. Molitor's love of the bunt drives me nuts. Not only do we need to stop giving away outs, but this team is really bad at bunting. If we could occasionally lay down a beauty, then maybe, but half the team can't even put it in play.
