Max Kepler

basically, he's saying that due to angle/exist velocity, Kepler shouldn't be able to do what he's been doing, and he questions if he can keep it up...

I have to admit, I find articles like this a little annoying.  A player has a ridiculous stretch where, if over a 162 games, he'd rewrite record books.  Do we really need an article explaining that it's not likely to last?  No.  It's a hot streak.  They happen.  I know it's a thing they need to do for page views and baseball's a long season and they have to cover stuff.  And they don't just do this to Twins' players - they did one of these on Trevor Story earlier this year, too. And many, many others. But it's dumb.

This is written for Rotographs (fantasy baseball players).  So written for people wondering whether or not they should keep him on their team, or trade him, or whatever.  Not all fantasy baseball players are actual die hard baseball fans.

And just because some people don't find it interesting to read this stuff, doesn't mean others don't.

See, I found it entertaining....so, ya, I don't agree. Plus, he's a rookie. It was posted on their roto site, where people go for content like this on rookies, so they can decide if they should be trading him or what.......

I mean, do we need any articles at all, really?

edit: jinx

I just read that article and my question is: What does any of this mean?

It means Max has been very, very lucky with a handful of swings that ended up going out of play. It means his prodigious power is not likely to continue.

But Max is young and has all the right tools to succeed. The fact he's apparently getting lucky doesn't mean he won't be a good player.

I thought it was interesting. Why is it bad to understand more about what's happening? It's not like anyone thought Kepler was now a 40+ HR guy anyway.

The article just points to what we already knew - Kepler is more of a line drive hitter. That doesn't mean his line drive home runs don't count.
