I wasn't responding to the part about family.

I was responding to the statement about them beating up their bodies for our entertainment.

 

That is not at all what they do.

 

They beat up their bodies for massive, life altering paychecks, it makes no difference to them if we are entertained or not.

 

Besides, there are probably several hundred jobs that are harder on a body than baseball.

1. I buy it. Assuming you know better than the pitcher and the organization what's going on with Gibson's shoulder is arrogant as hell.

2. Why on earth wouldn't crappy performances and shoulder strains be correlated? That makes perfect sense.

3. Do we really need to find things to complain about when our top pitching prospect has been promoted? Can we not just enjoy the show?
