Hrbowski Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Pitching matchup: MIN: Milone (8-4, 3.54)CWS: Quintana (8-10, 3.60) Today the Twins look to get a win from the White Sox, and the A's want to beat the Rangers.#1 Thing to Think About: Minor League Playoffs - The Kernels beat Quad City in the first round of the playoffs, and Max Kepler came up huge for the Lookouts in their first game, but that isn't the whole reason why we are thinking about MILB playoffs. The real reason why we are thinking about MILB playoffs is because we are Twins fans, and Twins fans have a habit of saying, "Well, there are always Minor League games, and the playoffs are fun..." unless you are also a Packers fan, then you go root for the Pack in the fall, but we just might want to hang in here a little longer.#2 Football versus Baseball - Football can be fun, but it can be kind a soap opera at times, with players and commissioners playing games with each other, and referees making really awful calls, and thinking they can redefine what a catch is, (or is that the rule book?) but in the end it all comes down to fans of 31 teams whining and complaining about The Great NFL Conspiracy, and fans of another team screaming, "You are just poor losers! Play by the rules!" Baseball is much more civilized and respectable, except for a few unruly managers, and it won't be big news if the Twins go a season without arrests.#3 Good Guys - Our Good Guys have been playing above what many expected coming out of spring training, and with a win last night they eliminated the possibility of a 90 loss season, plus they are only one game back of a playoff spot, making them not only Good Guys, but good players. Twins Daily members' favorite Good Guy has become Miguel Sano, passing up guys like Glen Perkins, Trevor Plouffe, and Eduardo Escobar. #4 Spam - Twins Daily has been having a lot of spam lately, so much that they have added new moderators to help ban these spammers, but these degenerate creatures of darkness are still trying to make life miserable for our moderators, so I propose that we members help out, and report these bloggers whenever we see these posts, so the mods don't accidentally leave some "watch so and so versus such a one live!!" posts up with uncapitalized letters and all, because any new people coming to Twins Daily might think, "This is what their blogs are like? How stupid." Good Guys: Aaron Hicks CFBrian Dozier 2BJoe Mauer 1BMiguel Sano DHTrevor Plouffe 3BTorii Hunter RFEduardo Escobar SSKurt Suzuki CByron Buxton CF Evil Enemies: Adam Eaton CFMelky Cabrera DHJose Abreu 1BAvisail Garcia RFTrayce Thompson LFAlexei Ramirez SSMike Olt 3BGeovany Soto CCarlos Sanchez 2B And tomorrow I am going to my first SPCO concert of the season, and we also have this: http://ep.yimg.com/ty/cdn/yhst-78579118181749/Packers-Bears.jpg
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Hicks is in Left. I think Center Field has annexed Left Field. I'm sure there will be plate sanctions in response. Right Field better watch out...
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Hicks is in Left. And I forgot the weather.
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I just hope the Twins dont get TOO CUTE with the rotation the rest of the way, dont fix what isnt broken, is a good motto to follow, and I believe we are 14-6 in our last 20 games.......I dont mind a 6 man, just dont like the idea of thinking you can mix and match game by game your starter.......save that for the last week, if we still have that chance.
Blake Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Hrbowski, wow, a veritable pantheon of enemies in your post. Twins fans in particular and MN sports fans in general will be booing at their computers.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 In play, run(s) please.
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Hicks has to tag on that ball
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 The White Sox again, showing off their defensive lack of abilities........Keep it up for 2 more games
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Love the White Sox play!!!!!! And WHAT!!! Sano!!!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 LOLOLOL. The Twins have sent five men to the plate, and the Sox have four distinct misplays. Poor Dozier.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 In play, run(s) please. And don't forget to say thank you. (Colorado State and the Gophers are in overtime... C be me)

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 And I forgot the weather. The weather is optional. It's just a tidbit of interest ... or not.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 LOLOLOL. The Twins have sent five men to the plate, and the Sox have four distinct misplays. Poor Dozier.Yeah the crowd here was none too happy. Lots of boos.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Would've been nice to get one more hit in the top of the first. 4-0 sounds a ;lot better than 2-0.
Jerr Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Don't give any back, Milone!!!!!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 And after they played so well last week??!!!! Damn And they win... A take away in overtime, followed by a field goal.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Would've been nice to get one more hit in the top of the first. 4-0 sounds a ;lot better than 2-0. I'll be happy with the zero part when the inning actually finishes...
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Would've been nice to get one more hit in the top of the first. 4-0 sounds a ;lot better than 2-0.Don't be greedy Chief. We need to suffer from undue stress at some point in this game.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 MLB should not require teams to fly all the way to Chicago. There is no need to be there, since they beat themselves without any help whatsoever?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 No worries. Milone's got this.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 And now they don't tag on a deep fly ball?
Blake Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 mlb.tv is giving me fits again. Sigh.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 2-0 Twins lead approximately 1/9th of the way through the game. (projecting to a 18-0 win? Alas, that is a danger of small sample sizes) Milone strands the bases loaded.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 mlb.tv is giving me fits again. Sigh. As in the Honda automobile? Mighty generous of them.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Where are your seats tonight, Chi?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I haven't had a chance to really game thread tonight. I'm watching the game... My Wife Called and I got to do some Michigan State Trivia Hunting for tomorrow. I'm heading to Lansing... I'm going to be on the ESPN Game Day stage during commercials to Pump up the Crowd... GIve away stuff and ask trivia questions and other things. Michigan State vs Oregon should draw a decent sized crowd. I'd think. Anyway we can find out how that went? Or do we just have to patient and wait to be told?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Where are your seats tonight, Chi?Similar to last night but on the 3rd base side this time. The club level seating is nice as they have wait service so you don't miss anything.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 And it's just as cold but I'm better prepared.
