Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Source: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/08/twins-acquire-neal-cotts.html The Twins will either send cash or a PTBNL to the Brewers for Cotts. The 35 year old pitcher has a 3.28 ERA but a 4.75 FIP. He does have a very nice 8.8 K/9. Was this a smart move by the Twins? Discuss.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 My reaction is "Eh, whatever." Fixing the bullpen would have had a hell of a lot more impact with 80 games left in the season, not 40. At this point, I'm not sure it matters.
dougkoebernick Provisional Member Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 40 games to go which is nearly 25% of the season - at least they aren't throwing in the towel. By the way, they are only 2.5 games back for the final spot. If you had told me in March that on August 22nd this would be the case I would have asked you to hand me some of that weed.

It's great that we got him, but it's too little too late.
