stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Max Kepler was 1-1 with two walks in the first game of a doubleheader in Jackson on Thursday. He was pinch hit for and didn't play in the second game. Kepler also stole his 16th base. Injured? Promoted? Disciplined? I can't find any information that indicates the cause for him to be taken out of a game. He continues to lead the Southern League in OPS, OBP, and slugging. He's slipped to second in the batting race.

mudcat14 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Saw it online. Got hit on a check swing. Umpire called it a foul. Kepler showed him the bruise and was ejected. Dougie then got ran too for sticking up for him. Max sat out the 2nd game. Hopefully just as a precaution.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 They aren't. I hope I wasn't sounding like I thought they were. I'm also quite confident they aren't holding back the German.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Back in the lineup tonight, so he must be fine.
