We always called them caramel rolls, or sweet rolls, or pecan rolls, or ... mmmmmmmmm.

 

Ah, I get it now, I too never knew if this was a particular type of bun. All rolls are not the same though, we need to differentiate between caramel rolls and cinnamon rolls!

 

Not because both aren't delicious, just so I can be specific when I order multitudes of both.

Ah. I get it now. These do nothing for me. It is hilarious though the hulking dollop of butter they slap on to the dinner-plate size rolls at Keys. 

Someone take this man's food thread card.

Tomorrow is national margarita day. I will be working, and on a plane. I wonder if I should have one after I land....

After last Friday's happy hour drinking too-strong margaritas, I'm going to have to suck it up to celebrate tomorrow.

I will be able to celebrate one of these on time, for once. My team at work is heading to Dave and Busters for an offsite tomorrow. They have a long margarita menu. :)

On this day in 1997, the first cloned animal comes into our lives! Dolly the Sheep was the first animal cloned using an adult somatic cell. 

 

Also, on this day in 1980, DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?! YES!!! USA defeats the USSR in the Winter Olympics. If we play them 10 times, they might win 9.... But not here.... Not tonight! This is our time!

Just once. We were organized into 4 squads and played several multiplayer games competitively. My team came in 3/4. But the food and the drinks more than compensated.

Happy Friday! Today is National Tortilla Chip Day! I love me a good tortilla chip at Mexican restaurants when they're warm and freshly made. Even better with guac, salsa, or queso!

Heh, at the D&B shindig on Wednesday I got caught sneaking some chips before the other people arrived. Promptly was sat in the corner by our hostess. :D

 

Good chips though. And top-notch service.

I don't like Nutella. Not a hazelnut fan, so I don't like Nutella.

 

There, I said it. Out loud. And I don't care who disagrees.

 

Now, if you want to mention Reese's chocolate peanut butter spread, you have my attention.

The Ringer came up with a list of the top 50 Fast Food items available for purchase... 

List here. 

 

Initial thoughts: 

 

- In and Out is very overrated.... Tried them a couple of times and it's not that impressive. 

 

- 2 tacos for $0.99 at Jack in the Box at 19? Those are the greasiest sons of B's ever. 

 

- Culver's cheese curds should be higher. Those things are actually pretty good. 

 

- Chik-Fil-A Waffle Fries are where they belong at #1.

Their Taco Bell picks were surprising. Quesadilla and hardshell taco? The Crunchwrap has to be a top-10.

Yeah I'd say that Taco Bell's hard and soft shell tacos are the most forgettable part of their offerings. Crunch wrap supreme was my go to order during the college days.

Today is national strawberry day. Yum. In every way, raw, in drinks, cooked over desserts, in sauce. Yum.

 

Strange that they have National Strawberry Day during a time when they aren't in season... Another month or 2 and we'll be in the thick of fruit season. Can't wait!

How is it not? I'd say absolutely is.

 

I actually like Epic Burger burgers better.
