That's not lowbrow, I eat way more peanuts than other nuts. I love those candied peanuts, my teeth not so much.

Today is National Drink Wine day.

I will certainly be celebrating this holiday tonight, as my day is already off to a bad start. Speaking of wine, There was an article released the other day that my generation the millennials drank nearly half of all wine in the US ..... I contributed to that cause.

I'm not really a wine drinker. I'll have a glass every so often, usually of the sparkling variety, or as sangria. And I get gifted wine all the time which means I never have to buy wine and can regift.

Not a wine guy, an occasional glass of white in the summer with some light appetizers maybe and very rarely some red with a beef dinner, but that's about my limit. I've never enjoyed drinking wine as a beverage on it's own.

I not infrequently hear that kids don't know how to deal with stress as well as adults. I disagree. You don't magically learn how to cope with bad times once you hit the magic number; the fault lies entirely with the MLDA.

Couple of goodies to end the week on....

Today is National Caregiver Day! That really is a thankless job, and for all that those professionals deal with, probably don't get paid enough either. Thank you for all that you do. 

 

Today is also National Eyelash Day! Pros: They keep stuff out of your eye Cons: Sometimes they get in your eye. That's the worst feeling when you get an eyelash stuck in your eye wearing contacts.... 

Today is also National Chocolate Mint Day! I love chocolate mint ice cream.... Thin Mints Girl Scout cookies.... holy buckets now I want some.

We were out of dutch press chocolate, and my wife wanted pudding (breaking the sugar fast that apparently is a myth......), so she used the mint chocolate stuff I used to put in my coffee. We were also out of milk, so she used coconut milk.

 

A: coconut milk makes for a very think pudding

B: lots of sugar, not as much chocolate

C: yummy still
