James Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 My goals for the team coming into the year were: 1) not finish in last place 2) give me as a fan the feeling that they had at least a chance to win, most nights 3) play some kids and give me hope 4). Have a better record than the White Sox. (I'm just adding this one because it should be on every Twins fan's list every year). The last week or two have been disappointing, because no fan likes watching his/her team lose. But, I have to say, the Twins have looked like a good team this year most of the year. We're finally getting to see some of the young guys we've been waiting for. Sano looks like he's been playing in the MLB for years. Buxton is so fast that he can turn all kinds of hits into extra bases. This year has had it's ups and down, but there are bright spots and I think we're starting to see the beginning of something very special.
Blackjack Provisional Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Sano, Dozier, Ervin Santana, Gibson ..... have really enjoyed them. Rosario gives me hope. They have been "in it" much longer than the last 4 years. All that is great. Been watching to see if you'd post in this thread Mike!!! Thumbs up!!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 There are many things to enjoy about this season, much better than the last few.

IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Buxton to start rehab on Friday in Rochester! Sano is going to be special, man that kid has power. Also gotta like the plate discipline he shows, especially for a young player. Admittedly not perfect, but definitely far better than most could reasonably expect from a player of his limited experience. That attribute can only help him in the future. Wish that some of our veterans had the same level of plate discipline
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I've enjoyed most of the season so far. It's a heck of a lot better than re-runs. I also enjoy the banter in the game threads even when I'm not posting much. "When your luck is batting zero,Pick your chin up off the floor,Mister you can be a hero,You can open any door." "You gotta have hope. Mustn't sit around and mope."
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
