Heading down for the Mariners series and will now officially be buying me a Dozier jersey.........and likely my 9 year old son one as well.

Dude, seriously...it's all fine and good to buy yourself a jersey, but I think it's over the line to make your 9 year old buy you one too.

Perkins performance must have been tied to not being able to throw to Kurt Suzuki...

I'm very happy to have Perkins as the Twins' closer, but I can't say I would mind Chapman in the role either. If the Twins had a shot at trading for Chapman, which would they demote to be the set up guy?

In that hypothetical scenario, you really don't have a wrong answer. Just like in KC with Davis/Holland.

Did they even mention Dozier's name before the ball was leaving the yard?  Too busy talking about players who weren't even still in the game.

Definitely noticed this--I was yelling at them to shut up and talk and Brian and the Twins.  Then his bat did the talking!!  Then I was yelling for joy!

to be fair, they spent most of the night talking about the previous batter or Mike Trout or "Kris Bryant's good looks"

I don't think it was specifically a slight on Dozier -- it was more that they were having a lazy evening at the ballpark instead of being broadcasters.

I will say I also really enjoyed the moment of the three of them snapping back into the present to acknowledge that Dozier just creamed a tough breaking ball to deep center field.

To be fair, most everybody needs to spend more time talking about Mike Trout. The guy is off the charts good. I've never seen a ball player like him and his closest comp is probably Willie Mays or Mickey Mantle. There isn't a single flaw in his game and he's very good or great at EVERYTHING. It's kinda insane.

Here's a fun fact about Trout. If he keeps up his current pace, he'll be a career 70 WAR player the year he turns 27 years old.

They were talking about Jacob deGrom, as I recall--who also deserved it.
