They started playing each other... what, a little over a hundred years ago? It was all the rage. A big best of 7 series between the two pennant winners. I forget what it was called...

Actually the first World Series went 8 games.  And even better the first World Series where the winner won 4 games and the loser lost 3 also went 8 games with a tie included.

I am not a murderer. That is a picture of my eccentric neighbor who is past out drunk in his driveway. He has an obsession with birds and on the weekends binge drinks Old Milwaukee in his garage while wearing very high detailed bird costumes. On this day, he just happened to be wearing his Blue Jay costume.

I want to tell you that you play it wrong....but that's not nice. So ya'll play it right, but so do we. We play it the way it's supposed to be played. Minnesotans just know how to turn a boring game into a little more fun. That way you can use your imagination and say "Green duck!" "Red duck" "Chartreuse duck!" "Iridescent duck!" You name it.
