But in the second line, we can't fill a bowl. Perhaps it is bigger than a bowl and can't be subdivided.

Like elephants...

 

But nah. There are lots of things like that. So it wouldn't be a unique answer...

 

Maybe it's something less substantial. Like the dark? I'm leanin' towards that sort of answer, but i's still thinking...
