I vaguely remember them talking about him during the All Star Game last year - something about how him walking on water and feeding a whole stadium from a basket that supposedly only contained five hot-dogs and turning the fountain water into beer, but his name escapes me.

You must not have been listening to the announcers who learned to speak with Midwestern accents, because if you had it would have sounded more like "Cheater" to you.

I'm more upset he was thrown out by 40 feet than the fact he ran through a late stop sign.

 

A two out hit to the outfield with a runner on second should always be at least close.  And I'd send the runner almost every time and make the defense throw him out.

. I too thought the stop sign was very late. But he did tie a league record for being out. Avila tried to make it close

  Gomez was a goofball, but way more productive than Arcia, and it was fun to see what he'd do next. We ran him out on the fastest rail.

That was a shame. He was one of the most fun Twins players - EVER - to watch play.
