Hunter made a terrible baserunning play.Not sure the third baseman applied the tag in time, but the ball beat him, it's spring training, and he deserved to be out.

 

I thought Boyer looked pretty good.  Kept the ball down, good movement.  The Sox fouled off quite a few pitches, but the only two baserunners were a Santana error and a Napoli opposite-field doink.  He struck Ortiz out looking.

Hunter just hit a double that went about 410 feet, bouncing on the track in front of the 420 sign for a ground-rule.

 

I think that Ortiz single would have been an out if the Twins had been in the same exaggerated shift they usually use for him.  Or if I were running, because the right fielder could have jogged in and tagged me before I got to first.

So after Hunter's 410 foot double, Napoli breaks his bat on a pop-up that just barely gets over the Green Monster.  That one might have gone all of, I don't know, 305?

That was a nice play by Arcia to keep that ball out of the corner.  Didn't prevent Victorino from the double, but it would have made a difference on a slower runner.
