Should be a good game ... and it's televised! Yay! Well, not sure about locally but it will be on the MLB Network so I can actually watch it on my television, which I prefer to the computer or my iPad. As we are nearing the start of the season, just reminding everyone who is interested and starting and leading a game thread to please contact Chief with the dates you are interested in doing. Brian will bring us his usual '5 Things to Think About' for every series opener, but we are hoping for participation from our many posters for other games. There are quite a few! Check this thread for more information and dates available. And continue to check as the season progresses as we realize it's difficult to commit to being a game thread volunteer now for a game in August. Thanks all!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 looks like a potential day one lineup, besides Gibson.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 looks like a potential day one lineup, besides Gibson. It does indeed. The order could possibly be tweaked some, but I think we all have our own opinions on that!
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Opening day lineup but for one. No Plouffe needed. He's got a week to come up with and injury.

Will those of us in Twins Territory be able to see it or will we be blacked out even though it isn't on FSN?I'm thinking we'll get it but I've been surprised before.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 No Gibson. He has the flu. Blaine Boyer is starting. J.R. Graham will follow Boyer (per Rhett Bollinger).
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 ACK!!!!!! No Gibson. He has the flu. Blaine Boyer is starting.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 <grumble> I wanted to see Gibson pitch! But I guess if he's gonna get the flu, rather he get it now than next week.

Circus Boy Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Once again I have no idea what the score is reading this thread.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Once again I have no idea what the score is reading this thread.Good! Don't be so lazy and look it up yourself ... then come back and talk about it! Or better yet ... sign up to lead a game thread so you can announce it after every half inning.
woolywoolhouse Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 It's a 6:05pm start time tonight... So no score yet.
James Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Once again I have no idea what the score is reading this thread.I'm going to go with 0-0 at this point.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 I think Circus Boy was being a bit ... tongue in cheek ... with that post?

It should be no different than those Saturday games that are on FS1 rather than FSN -- those are not blacked out.

Or better yet ... sign up to lead a game thread so you can announce it after every half inning. Would love to do so. Sadly, because of work -- retail, doncha know -- I rarely get to see more than a couple innings a game. I truly do like what you folks do, though.
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Tell me about it, retail = seeing one or two innings a night (at best) and maybe 2-6 games a season in person , if you're lucky. Thats how it was for me when i worked retail.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I'm going to go with 0-0 at this point. On the contrary, the score is 1-3 at this point, in favor of the Red Sox. Twins won the opening game 9-8 back on 3/5, and the Red Sox have taken the last 3, most recently on a 10 inning homerun. Leastwise according to the mlb schedule. But tonight's game, and 4 more exist before the cup is won. (Someone else may acquire merit by remembering the name of the cup) So the lead is not insurmountable... Anyway, i look forward to it.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 What the heck? The schedule says the game is being broadcast on the MLB Network ... why isn't it? Back to computer watching ... ugh!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 okay ... guess mlb network didn't think the top half of the inning was worth showing.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Geez, Ortiz is kinda looking a little like Mr. T
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 And just for Circus Boy, after 1 the score is 0-0. Twins went down in order in the top half, the Red Sox made Boyer work, but he did the job. So far.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Announcement: The score is 0-0 in the top of the 2nd. That is all.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 And just for Circus Boy, after 1 the score is 0-0. Twins went down in order in the top half, the Red Sox made Boyer work, but he did the job. So far. Thank you! My interwebs was a bit slow, so I posted before reading your post.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Damn it. Torii tried to stretch it and out at third.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Okay, Arcia ... smash it off the mahnstah.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Damn it. Torii tried to stretch it and out at third. Leading by counterexample sometimes is important too... At least Vargas got to second, so it's more like we lost the trailing runner.
