I realize it's only spring training, but I really like this offense. I project they will score 1458 runs this year.

Its amazing how much Mauer's stance has changed in the last year or 2 (damn oblique strain)

(just glance at the Mauer as Votto fangraphs article)

 

The swing is essentially similar, albiet probably a little different

 

But his stance isn't even anywhere close to the "old" Mauer

 

for those hoping he hits .310 - .320 + this year DONT GET UR HOPES UP

 

i'm gonna say around .287   with 7-9 Hr's  hopefully a few more.

I like the Kasota Gold on the unis, just not necessarily on the hats.  Weird, huh?

No, not really weird... The smaller you make an icon, the more problematic an outline around that icon becomes. On a big "Twins" script on a jersey, a gold outline adds a little style to the big, bold script. On a hat, the "TC" logo is much smaller. The outline causes eye distraction and ruins what were clean lines around the interlocked letters on the old hats.

Small Sample Size. You need at least 2 games to make such a projection.
