Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 And I still don't think Morneau in Minnesota would approach what he is doing in Colorado. I am in total agreement with you. Obviously, Morneau had some serious concussion issues, but I really feel like Target Field got into his head - it's not a very fair park for guys who like to drive the ball into the power alleys. He may not be the same player he was 5-6 years ago, but playing in Colorado may get him back to the 30HR level. That is pleasing and I am happy for him.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Happy Anniversary, Ash and Mrs Ash! I'm thinking Little River Band Your Way
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Wow. That is the duration of World War II times 5! That is a strange comparison, but none the less, I like it. I wonder how many Operation Overlords occurred during this period of time?
curt1965 Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Why should he post his lineups any sooner than he does? Three hours isn't enough time? Not sure why it's a problem, if it's a problem. Not like Gardy has a lot of options........
Trevor0333 Provisional Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Another pitcher with pine tar on the brim of his hat, I see this more & more.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I'm thinking Little River Band Your Way "Lady"?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Not like Gardy has a lot of options........ Yeah, scanning the bench player list, Gardy thought bubbles: Suzuki "I guess I gotta give him off once per week, and Pino is Fryer's boy, if he fails."Parm/Arcia "I'm pretty much picking my poison, here, aren't I?"Florimon "Was this TR's way of punishing me for insisting that he was my guy back in March?"
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 "Lady"? No... It's their anniversary!!! What Little River Band song fits the occasion. "The Night Owls" of course
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Ok... Bring on the 2nd inning... I request a Morales homer. I do so formally.
Trevor0333 Provisional Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 The definition of laboring, come on Pino you got this.
Trevor0333 Provisional Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Crushed, wow that was a liner. Suzuki was getting in Arcias face about something after he returned to the dugout from the dong.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Umm... streak over Yeah... Right now he's 1-1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Uppercut swing, Bert? It was an elevated line drive that probably left a divot the size of a basketball. Welcome back, O-Ar-they. http://28.media.tumblr.com/yYVS2ZIYLakp8stuYV0SptmN_500.jpg
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Not like Gardy has a lot of options........ Yeah ... so? I mean, really ... when is the optimal time for him to post lineups to suit everyone?
amjgt Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Come on, Dick... A 23yo right of college is at least 4 seasons away from the majors in the Twins system.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 No... It's their anniversary!!! What Little River Band song fits the occasion. "The Night Owls" of course Hey, cut me some slack. I had no clue who they were and had to do some research. "Lady" was the song I remembered from my pre-10 age. I have now listened to "Happy Anniversary" and have combed my hair correctly. For the life of me, I cannot get "Night Owls" to play on YouTube - each option! I did read this comment to that song and I urinated in my pants a tad - here it is: People wanted them to rock out from their ballad - style songs. And they did it with this song in "81. I was cruising my muscle car when this song was playing on the radio; I was working as a bouncer back then w/ all kinds of ladies for the night. This song defined me as a guy & what the game was. Thanks for posting it.

amjgt Verified Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Grant Green looks like a pitcher standing there in batters box.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Yeah ... so? I mean, really ... when is the optimal time for him to post lineups to suit everyone? How about in the timely fashion that almost every other organization that regularly beats Gardy to the punch?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Come on, Dick... A 23yo right of college is at least 4 seasons away from the majors in the Twins system. Dick have the College World Series on in the background?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Yeah ... so? I mean, really ... when is the optimal time for him to post lineups to suit everyone? I'm he wakes up around 8AM... Calls the wife... Terry Ryan... Reads a newspaper... Takes a shower... Gets some breakfast... Watches MLB. 10:45AM
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 How about in the timely fashion that almost every other organization that regularly beats Gardy to the punch? I'm seriously asking ... what is timely? I don't think 3-4 hrs prior to the game is something to be considered amiss for a manager, but then maybe it is? It seems fine to me despite some impatience to want it as early as possible. And since I do put up the lineups most days, I don't think the Twins lineups appear all that much later than everyone else's and often at the same time or earlier.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Is there a score? Kind of waiting for the inevitable ... was 1-0 Twins, now it's 1-1 ... might go higher before the inning is over ...
