That guy needs to get back to AAA to learn how to play CF

It was a spectacular catch... Why not enjoy it and leave it at that? To my knowledge, nobody has said his defense warrants a demotion. It's mostly people saying his defense has been inconsistent, with web gems like that one, followed by routes on balls over his head that resemble a man attempting to evade a drone strike.

I just saw that Yu Darvish has been pulled from the start tonight because of a stiff neck.

In Joe Mauer's "fun fact" when he's up to bat, it says that if he wasn't a baseball player, he'd be a carpenter.

 

Surely he's just having fun with us, right?

Had to laugh at mlb gameday. The pitch by pitch said that Hughes was throwing a knuckle curve.

 

Never having pitched at any level other than in BP to guys in need of confidence, identifying pitch type has remained largely a mystery to me well into the slow-mo/sabre/internet era.

 

But that strikes me as one of those 'room for improvement' moments...

Later on I type that I'm not going to write another one and I get 7 likes.
