Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Game-time forecast: Clear. Winds blowing out to center field at 10-15 m.p.h. Temperature around 60. Next Stop ChiTown... She put the lineup down and let em roll. She Said... One more Job... ought to get it. Twins:SP, Deduno Brian Dozier 2BJoe Mauer 1BTrevor Plouffe 3BChris Parmelee RFJosmil Pinto CJason Kubel LFEduardo Escobar SSAaron Hicks CFSamuel Deduno P Giants:SP, Vogelsong Angel Pagan CFHunter Pence RFBuster Posey CPablo Sandoval 3BMichael Morse 1BTyler Colvin LFBrandon Hicks 2BBrandon Crawford SSRyan Vogelsong P --------------------------------------------- Things to Think About: 1. San Francisco -- Streets with steep... clines... both in and de. Karl Malden and Michael Douglas used to patrol them and keep them safe. Michael Douglas was a very good driver... chasing the bad guys at high speed in San Francisco required talented driving as they saved on gas mileage by being airborne half of the car chase. They used an unmarked Ford Sedan LTD with an extremely impressive Magnetic Red Light that they placed on the roof when the chase begins. Through all the jumping... The red light stayed secure somehow. Karl Malden sometimes got his nose stuck in the glove box after some hard landings. I was in San Francisco 4 or 5 years ago and saw a brown Ford LTD. I told my wife and sons to keep an eye on it but it just drove away normally and I had to hide my disappointment. This is where Trapper John settled down once he returned home from Korea... Dharma and Greg also roam the streets while Greg tries to loosen up. Uncle Jesse and the Olsen Twins live in a full house here. San Francisco is a suburb of Palo Alto and the economy is thriving from the production of LSD and Sourdough Bread. 2. The Giants -- With Arms like Bumgarner... Cain... Hudson... Lincecum and Vogelson making up the rotation... The Giants have been long thought of as a starting pitching led squad. I think they are but the offense has been nothing to sneeze at. When Brandon Belt returns to the lineup... He will join Posey... Morse... Pence... Panda and they cause problems for opposition pitching. So yeah... the offense isn't anything to sneeze at. As a matter of fact... I can't think of anything you should sneeze at... besides a Kleenex. 3. AT&T Park -- Disclaimer: I haven't been to every stadium... But I think that AT&T Park is the best baseball stadium in the MLB. The design of the stadium is amazing. We sat out in RF and we could easily see what pitch was thrown and measure the break of it... It was extraordinary. Out past the LF wall... You can see a Giant Glove. The Glove looks a little stiff and could use some oil to break it in. To my knowledge the Glove has never actually caught a baseball which leads me to believe it is defective. 4. National League Baseball -- Tonight... we get to see Sam Deduno swing a bat and I love it. I predict... Not only will Sam get the win on the mound but he will also get a hit. It was my first thought this morning... I woke up and immediately said to myself that Sam is gonna get a hit tonight and then I thought about putting some clothes on before I got some breakfast and a shower. It may have been my first thought today but for some reason I moved it down to thought #4. 5. Indoor Slide - There is a new product looking for a manufacture. It's actually kind of cool. If you have kids... The product will turn your stairs into a slide. If you want stairs you can simply switch it back. If you want a slide or stairs it's your choice. However... I'm thinking that if you happen to forget to switch it back to stairs... In the middle of the night... It may end up trumping the Leaving the Toilet seat up discussion that folks have from time to time. Watch that first step... It'll be a doozy.

Well, I'm ready to take a chance again so I'll beware of the dwarf so I don't meet with Foul Play because comedies are much more my style.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Well the Twins lineup is up: 1. Brian Dozier ® 2B2. Joe Mauer (L) 1B3. Trevor Plouffe ® 3B4. Chris Parmelee (L) RF5. Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I tuned in briefly yesterday to the Giants broadcast and was surprised to hear Jon Miller calling the t.v. broadcast. I had forgotten how soothing it is to listen to a game called by Jon Miller. In fact, Jon Miller's voice might be the single most relaxing thing to hear after a long week of work.

I miss hearing Miller, too.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Wow, they gave us a few minutes break on the start time tonight. So generous of the Giants.:s-instagib:

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Ah, the way baseball is supposed to be watched... What a novel idea! "The way baseball is supposed be watched" by Sample Size -Two decades after the best seller "My Feet Hurt". Sample Size returns with the brilliantly penned "The way baseball is supposed to be watched" The naritive is set in motion by an overly friendly Dennis DeYoung of the band Styx who befriends a young couple and follows them around everywhere they go, leading to misunderstandings and important life lessons.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Pence always look likes he's out of Valium.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Deduno... Just get him a run.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 This inning is the time to get him that run. Swing sometime, Mr. Hicks.
