(Plus, it helps our attendance numbers!)
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Blue Jays, Angels, Royals, Orioles, and Mets have the right idea.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Are the Twins just being odd or are they taking taxes into account or something???? Other than the Pirates with the "bargain" price of $39, everybody else's price ends in a 0 or 5 but the Twins price theirs at $209??? (And I vote with Pius Jefferson on this one. To me, it's stupid.)
Boom Boom Verified Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 At these prices, you better hope she doesn't say no! And ladies, bit of advice, let him down once the camera is off you. He should have been more creative and less public than that...
righty8383 Verified Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Stadium proposals became cliché and unoriginal a long time ago.I just roll my eyes when I see it now. Wish more teams would just do away with it.
drunksam Verified Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 You can get the proposal, marriage, and honeymoon cheaper with the Vegas 51's and the nearby casinos. Baseball and blackjack...well, maybe costlier if you're unlucky.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I can't find the link but a few years ago there was this great prank (probably faked) on a couple that had been dating over a year. The guys friends had the "will you marry me" thing put on at the stadium. She was overjoyed and immediately said yes and he was terrified and screaming it wasn't him. She cries and storms off. In any event, I proposed at Tavern on the Green where it was busy enough so she couldn't say no. Worked.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I took one look at the Dodger's price and I had a Jesse Pinkman moment...."JEEsus!"

Wish more teams would just do away with it. One of my uncles did the proposal thing at a Badgers hockey game about 20 years ago and even the preteen chuchadoro was embarrassed for him. The important thing is they are still happily married but the act cannot be undone.
