Wow! 23 Million! The Twins would be crazy to offer that contract. The Twins did not choose to extend Ryan Jeffers as he was entering arbitration. They could have at that point paying him a somewhat more than he would have received in his arb years and then probably getting a break on the early free agent years. By my eyes I believed Jeffers is better at handling pitchers than Caratini. I would even said the difference is significant. I went to Fangraphs and Jeffers is a -1 for his cERA and Caratini is a +1. Yikes! My eyes must be way off. Sure enough Jeffers has a catcher ERA of 4.59 with Caratini at 3.88. Will the staff be in better hands with Caratini taking more of the load? 2026 Road Trip

Since 2018 I’ve tried to take a minor league baseball road trip with friends every year. Originally the goal was to see every Twins minor league affiliate in one summer. What is your immediate knee jerk reaction to this question? I am thoroughly confused on the answer. I was absolutely sick of reading articles that stated things like... "Royce was off to s strong start before going on the IL". they would claim stats like .222/.378/.444 triple slash line and a +133 WRC+ to show how good he was.  He was 33% better than the average 3b????? I’ve seen a lot of articles discussing the Twins where a narrative of the last three seasons seems to be repeated. I don’t believe the narrative is fully accurate. Minnesota Twins Re-Instate Royce Lewis from 10 Day IL and make a flurry of roster moved

Good News out of the twins organization Royce Lewis was just reinstated and will play today against the Mets at Citi field. Lewis 26 years of age was heating up a little bit but to a slow start this season slashing 222/378/822. Hopefully this gonna boost the twins chances and bring them back up from .500. The Athletic had an article today that some data I had seen before but couldn’t recall. According to MLB the ABS system is 95% confident that the ABS is no more than 0.39 inches from its predicted location. It is 99% confident that it is no more than .48 inches from its predicted location. That makes me wonder if MLB should be overturning calls that are within a half inch or four tenths of an inch.
