Law: Top 25 Under 25

Byron Buxton came in at #8, and Miguel Sano ranked 21st.

Over large numbers, it would be interesting to know what kind of correlation there is between batted ball exit velocity and BABIP.

I can't say I understand  the ranking, is it still 2013? How can Buxton rank higher than Sano at this point? How can there be 20 better players in MLB under 25 than Sano?

I agree that his may prove to be interesting, but It's not doing much for Mauer right now.

I agree with the first 6 being better than Sano, without even thinking hard right now. Sano might be better than them, but it's hard to say he is based on past production and defensive positions. I can see 10 or more that might be better than Sano without thinking that hard at all.

 

Jose Rameriz has produced 4.6 bWAR over the last year.....he's not potentially better than Sano?

 

As for Buxton, KLAW is a big believer and always has been. He's super confident on the elite defense, and believes he'll hit league average.

In fairness, I'm not sure there is a metric of 250 by which Reusse would rank Sano.  Other than #1 in the top 250 worst humans on the planet.
