  1. I would think if Jermaine Palacios continues his solid play at AA it should put him back on the Twins prospect list.
  2. Tigers beat the Royals, we're alone in last place.
  3. At least we got a Shaggy sighting.
  4. It's good to see Palacios playing well again. After being traded to the Rays (for 2 good years from Jake Odorizzi) he really struggled in the minors and the Twins scooped him back up. Is he really 6-0 145 pounds? That would make Nick Gordon look . . . plump.
  5. So many pitches catching too much plate and being given a ride. Why is Dobnak pitching when he has a nail problem and can't complete his pitches? Why is Shoemaker even still here?
  6. I like the kid. He has a certain relaxed athleticism that I think will allow his abilities to play at the MBL level. I think that homerun to straight away CF off the low fastball shocked everybody. He has been really good in the lineup and sure didn't seem lost in CF either. He just looks so freakin' skinny.
  7. Mike Marshall was one of my favorite players and who recently passed away. Iron Mike was a great security blanket for a pitching staff knowing he could throw 1-3 innings at any time really. His own knowledge of the human body and movement (earned a Doctor of Philosophy in exercise physiology) allowed him to develop himself into one the greatest workhorse pitchers ever. If you have never checked out his career and stats, do it, pretty amazing numbers. Can you believe he pitched 208.3 innings in relief in 1974? Makes my elbow hurt just thinking about it. And if you ever needed a brainiac to figure out the logistics of anything, Mike was your man.
  8. Good point; maybe a more significant lead-off role would spark his production?
  9. Rest, rehab and rub some dirt on it. I think the term was a sore elbow.
  10. Simmons to lead off? .383 OBA vs lefties, .312 vs righties.
  11. That was a pretty sticky answer by Cole if you ask me.
  12. Yeah, gone are the days of, "Just rub some dirt on it and get back out there."
  13. Berrios and Pineda and pray for a tornada. ?
  14. It's amazing that after a month of being sidelined with injury, Byron Buxton is still the Twins leader in WAR (2.7) with Polanco at a distant next at 1.3 WAR.
  15. Pretty much "it" for me too. So disappointing. A train wreck. Congrats to Griffin Jax . . welcome to the bigs. Go get um next time.
  16. # The ball was coming out of his hand real good and his pitches had excellent movement. Advanced metrics showed that any day now he would actually throw a strike.
  17. That win probability chart is like a flatline. About represents the Twins this season.
  18. Just say it was 14-5, and it wasn't even that close. I've seen more life by poking a dead hedgehog with a stick.
  19. No, and no. Nobody really comes back from TOS. And JBJ, just no.
  20. At least we have the Vikings to look forward to.
  21. Kohl Stewart made a start for the Cubs on Monday and beat the Padres 7-2. He went 5 innings for the win, only giving up 1 unearned run on 3 hits and a walk, striking out 2. He even made a dazzling behind-the-back look what I found catch of a hot grounder, throwing out the smiling batter at 1B. His sinker looked heavy and effective.
  22. The Wind Surge's Winder throws a stinker of a sinker.
  23. From happening dudes, to what the hell happened dudes.
