    Antonio Gibson is going to New England on a three year deal. That would have been my top 'cheap' RB free agent, but if he's getting three years, it probably wasn't cheap after all.

    Spoke too soon, the incumbent is being release. Aaron Jones is going Aaway.

    Two edge rushers? Interesting. As much as I'd like to, we can probably cross that off the early round draft list. ;

    If he's not, you just try again until you get it right. This is what I want: This frustrating organization hasn't had back-to-back 10 win seasons since 2009, which was the last time they were a legit contender, and they haven't been a consistent contender since Fran Tarkenton was here.

    Good for Kirk, but that wouldn't have interested me. To get to a consistent level of being a contender, this team needs to invest that money to invest in too many other areas.

    Rue not giving a 4 year deal to an injured 36-year-old? Seems unlikely. I'm sure Atlanta will be much improved, but probably no better off than the Vikings were at their best with him. I'm seriously not trying to rip Cousins as much as the organization, but they won one playoff game in his six years. What is there it rue?

    Packers sign Josh Jacobs. Good to see they have two washed up RBs to hand the ball off to.

    Cousins to Atlanta. It wasn't very fruitful, but it was fun. Good luck to him. Not the Falcons though, no luck to them.

    Two good interior OL have gone. Lloyd Cushenberry and Tyler Biadasz. I hadn't looked into the players available too deeply, but these two did stand out. The Vikings re-signed Quesenberry and Brandel. I really hope they don't think they can keep moving forward with all these spare parts. They need actual good players on the interior.

    He's going to the dysfunctional Raiders though, so two years from now after they cut him and eat something like 20M in doing so, we can take another look.

    I liked Greenard actually. He had the 6th highest Win Rate in the league last year. He might not put up Hunters numbers, but he's much younger. Still, have to hammer the interior OL now. And I'm not sure what they should do with the interior DL.

    Russell Wilson has turned me off a bit, but I do like Pittsburgh and Tomlin. People started to question Belichick after he didn't do so well after Brady left, I still don't understand why people haven't yet started wondering if Brees was the reason for Payton's success. Maybe he wasn't, but it certainly should be considered a possibility.

    I really don't care who the 'mentor' QB is, but I think if the Vikings move into the top 10 for McCarthy, he's got to start right away. Taking advantage of the rookie contracts for QBs is the biggest advantage in the game. And Bo Nix is 24 already. If he needs a year to sit (which I don't think he does), I'm not sure he should be considered. A veteran for the back up role would be fine, but not a bridge QB. Rattler is 23, but he does interest me while still being pretty raw. He'd be the one I'd look at for the sit-a-year approach. And I'd take him over Pennix. He'd be my QB six at this time.

    Minor league ERA doesn't really do much for me, seems strikeout rates and walk rates tend to be more indicative if the player's stuff will translate. Still not sure that it will. Either way, I'm less concerned with when this team will need a 5th starter than when they'll need a 2nd starter, which they're still lacking from my perspective.

    From my perspective, whatever the reason, the less wear and tear is the Twins gain.

    I’m expecting him to stay at 2B, but seems the most likely outcome for permanent promotion is the 1B situation underperforming.

    Man, that's a lot of guys getting 2B rotation. I mean, a lot of guys not named Lee. I can't wait for when Julien gets moved to 1B in June and the Twins call up Severino, Prato or Martin to play 2B instead of Lee, the pitchforks will be out! I want to see all three of those other guys though, so I'll be just fine it.

    Yeah, I think Meatloaf made a song about these pitchers. Not sure we want to break the trend. Petty hasn’t made it yet but even one win, one loss and one TBD is pretty good outcome.

    That's rough, wish them the best and hope they have lots of support.

    I don't see the rush or the position for him. Only spot is if the Twins push Julien to 1B, and I don't see that happening until Kirilloff gets injured. And Miranda is making more a claim to get a call up than Lee is so far in spring training.

    The guys they've unnecessarily held on to a couple years too long is getting quite lengthy.

    He's going to have to hit really, really well AND stay healthy if he's going to be a DH only player. I wouldn't be surprised if he's moved before the season starts.

    Teams are cutting safeties left and right, I'm starting to get the feeling that Harrison Smith is sticking around. It would be very un-Viking like to cut him late in the offseason and screw him over. They have the cap space now I suppose but they have other needs. I'd have thought Metellus would have been moved out of the nickel spot or Jay Ward would have been ready to take the job, but unless Smith is secretly planning on retiring, I'd guess he's here next year.

    I can only recall about four to six good free agents this team has signed this century. Certainly they can get some good ones if they do it right, but developing your own players is way more important in the NFL than any of the other sports.
