  1. I've been thinking about the idea of drafting a kicker, and I think I'm good doing it if you can get one of the top college kickers in the 6th or 7th. I'd guess most of the players drafted in the 6th or 7th you could get as UDFAs anyway, but the top guys at this position will get drafted.
  2. I did read one theory that quick and long players are what will be needed for the new kickoff rules. Maybe drafted entirely to be a special teams player?
  3. This CB is a giant. 6’4”? That’s pretty rare.
  4. After watching O ‘Neal get smoked by top pass rushers last year, I wonder if he’d ever get moved inside. Not that finding a starting tackle at this point in the draft is a reasonable idea.
  5. Well looks like there might be some guys I'm still familiar with and fond of sitting there for the Vikings to grab. I'm not sure an O'Connell offense has much room for a 3rd WR, but those are fun picks. I thought Troy Franklin was a late 1st early 2nd so he'd seem to be a steal. I also like Javon Baker and Malik Washington. The one guy I may like most is Jacob Cowling but he's down a lot of lists so he might even be available later. He looks like an electric slot guy that could immediately relieve Brandon Powell of his duties. Anias Smith would be another slot guy I see way down on most lists that could fill that role. So if the slot guy is a target, maybe they still wait, though I guess they don't have a 5th round pick. My preferred roster spot is interior OL, and Sataoa Laumea is a guy I like and called for back yesterday. But Sederick Van Pran-Granger (can't wait to see that on the back of a jersey!!!) might be a great center. DL would be my second spot to hit and Mekhi Wingo (John Randal type?) and Brandon Dorlus (Everson Griffen type?) sound like the overlooked athletic freak kind of players that tend to do really well for this franchise. Wingo obviously has the better name. With 3/4 defense, DL guys do seem like a spot that needs to be hit early in a draft to find actual impact players though, so it might be a 'next year' kind of situation. But it is the 4th round, so I'm OK conceding a CB to you guys should that finally transpire.
  6. Right, Buxton probably barely cracks the top ten things to complain about on this team.
  7. See the Strikeout Always philosophy is a solid plan!!!
  8. Dang, MarShawn Lloyd was one of my favorite RBs and the Packers got him. Not that I was aiming for the Vikings to take a RB any time soon. And the Packers have a crowded backfield already.
  9. Man, I had seen Troy Franklin as high as the #5 WR on a lot of boards. NFL teams must really not believe in him.
  10. Nope, calling it now. Santna has 12, Trout a measly 11.
  11. Who had Santana out homering Trout this series?
  12. Well as offensive heavy the 1st round was, the 2nd round is even more defensive heavy.
  13. I get the joke, that makes me sophisticated right?
  14. It's not like Farmer's even playing SS anymore. There's going to be no excuse to continue to roster him when Correa and Lewis are back, not to mention when Lee becomes healthy.
  15. I'm fine if we get that number down to 0% to fix that issue.
  16. Hitting his 3rd extra base hit? That would be a nice surprise. Ooooooooh. In the batting order. Not so nice.
  17. I'd trade Bradbury, but if teams value him like I do, you wouldn't get much for him. I suggested earlier that with all the pass rushers this team brought in in free agency and now with Turner in the mix, I don't think this team is going to be running too many defensive sets with two middle LBs. I think Ivan Pace's usage is going to dramatically shrink so I'd be willing to move him.
  18. Hold up, is Brandon Beane actually Rick Speilman in disguise? https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/brandon-beane-on-trade-with-chiefs-didnt-matter-to-us-who-they-were-picking Buffalo picked up a third-round pick on Friday in the Chiefs deal and the Bills then traded out of the first round altogether while adding a fifth-rounder from the Panthers, which Bills General Manager Brandon Beane said was more significant to the team than anything the Chiefs were planning at No. 28. “I could see them taking a receiver but you don’t truly know. . . . But where they were moving from, I don’t think it mattered to us who they were picking,” Beane said, via Matt Parrino of NewYorkUpstate.com. “Now we’ve got the two 2s, a 3, a 4 and four 5s. I think that gives us a chance to fill some roles or use ammo to move around again, depending on how the board falls.” Holy cow, four 5s?!?!? One of them might be an average player!!!! But having tons of draft picks, even in the late rounds, is super fun!!!
  19. Fifth year option is a big bonus for sure.
  20. I liked Mitchell and Legette better than the last two WR who went. Maybe that's their plan.
  21. Man, I don't think he's drunk, but Goodall doesn't sound great. I bet that's a big talking point tomorrow.
  22. I've ripped Adofo-Mensah for awhile now, but that Turner trade was awesome. All those defensive guys I wanted at 23 would have been gone. I saw Zer'han Newton and Darius Robinson in this area in some drafts, but they weren't near as exciting as that Murphy, Turner, Verse, Latu group that already went.
