  1. How are Graterol's mechanics? Is he likely to blow out his arm again, like everybody worried about with Liriano? (Not that anybody can truly predict TJ.)
  2. I expect them to play it similar to last year. Nothing dramatic in terms of buying or selling. The era of the 1-game wild card has reduced how many teams are sellers, for sure.
  3. It worked for NYY throughout the 90s.
  4. I'm no scout, but would you rather have Gordon or Polanco at SS, with the other at 2B? A year ago everyone was ready to move Polanco.
  5. I'll take a stab at this, using my usual internet vagueness about my personal life.
  6. Who will hit .200 first? Morrison or Wilson? Sadly, I think the latter.
  7. Great topic. Though none for me.
  8. Had Magill entered with inherited runners yet this year?
  9. Employers (or a CBA) set their own conditions. For example, employers in CO can and do terminate employees for use of marijuana. Just because something is legal, doesn't make it okay in all walks of life. Now how do I personally feel about en employer's right to check my bodily fluids? That's a whole different topic that doesn't apply to a TwinsDaily discussion. At it's core, employers do have the right to make this decision. I'm curious how it will play out over the next decade. An employer also has the right to punish you for a hangover, if they can prove that's the cause. Essentially it would be under poor performance and/or missed work.
  10. I feel like it's cooled off since he was hit in the elbow.
  11. Yeah, I would never trade an affordable arm prior to their walk year, unless it's for ransom.
  12. Molitor is at least trying to spark Dozier by moving him around from 1st to 5th, 4th, 3rd, etc. LoMo has been 4-6 all year long with zero production. If your avg is below .200 after May it's only supposed to go up.
  13. It's the second week of July and Morrison's avg peaked at ..194. Why is he still batting 5th and Cave is 9th?
  14. I could not remember his first name. He lasted another year with KC and BAL if my memory is correct.
  15. I agree they're bad options, but save the HR threat til the late innings, especially when you know there's a lefty on the mound now. Not to mention his lack of speed and leading off an inning not being ideal if he had reached.
  16. WTF!? You're batting Morrison in the 6th against a LHP to lead off an inning? edit: Easy out, but I guess that means Cave will be the big late inning PH AB?
  17. They did play 13 innings yesterday. It's unlikely they'd send down an arm that didn't pitch in that game. Come Saturday when they make another move, however. (And then Jorge will probably be somewhere else as a result.)
  18. I'm not sure Jorge would hit any better
  19. And his 2 hit game got his avg up to .192.
  20. Nolasco acquisition vs Nolasco acquisition in the win-loss column today (if this ever ends)
  21. I may remember this wrong, but I feel like the Twins broke Santiago that time they used him out of the pen in this situation. He was never the same. (And then he got injured, but let's not let facts change my perception.)
