  1. I love this team's fight. They seem to never give up. I'm not sure if that's on Molitor. Naming specific things he does well that I can see on my end of things? I'm not sure of any. Fundamentals are a mess, the lineups are often bizarre (but they've grown on me this year), and his overworking the bullpen is obvious to everyone but him. While it's possible that Hildenberger and Rogers, for example, are streaky, I think their inconsistencies are more likely because of how often he uses them.
  2. In theory, but this is Molitor we're talking about. He'll make sure to use 35 of 40 players on the roster in every game if possible.
  3. It's like teams are actively trying to make the game longer in spite of the commissioner.
  4. I'm comfortable saying these Twins are still much better than this White Sox team. Better than KC too. The rest of the division...not as much. Hey, they aren't on the bottom anymore.
  5. I wonder if he's a "small market" guy who prefers playing out of the national spotlight. More likely, he's probably just on a hot streak. Ride it out, see where things sit after Thanksgiving.
  6. I almost thought Rosario would get a night off. I guess Erv/MOY took care of that.
  7. Yes, but this isn't May at his best. He's still in recovery mode. Save that role for 2019 and let him get some innings in right now.
  8. May has thrown a combined what, 30 innings, since 2016? That's including his rehab. Of course he's not going to be sharp. He shouldn't be the call in a spot like that anyway. Yes, he's looked good so far, but sss. TJ recovery does a lot of weird things to the arm as it gets back into gameday shape (see Nathan, Joe). MOY left Santana in way too long then made the wrong bullpen call.
  9. They only have 17 pitchers on the roster.
  10. Nunez is fun to watch on offense, but I don't want his defense anywhere except 3b (and that's going off memory). If Adrianza is the primary backup SS/2B, and Nunez is backup 3B and alternate backup 2B/SS (and 6th OF), I'll take it.
  11. Without Duke and Pressly, I fear it's Hildy to pitch 5/7 days under Molitor's idea of bullpen usage.
  12. Yes, because pre-season is a complete waste of time where nobody actually plays anyway. How long will he be in, a 3-and-out? The first month of the regular season is so lackluster because everybody is so out of sync.
  13. Of course the team chemistry is better in a winning clubhouse that in the Twins' this July. I'm also willing to bet these players now have extra motivation as their season isn't just for the stats anymore.
  14. Nevermind. Seriously, why not just throw Belisle back out there for another inning at this point?
  15. I guess it's him or Field on the mound right now...
  16. This doesn't surprise me in the least. All MLB teams are filled with professional major league players (even KC and BAL). When a team underperforms, it's due IN PART to intangibles. I'm stressing "in part" because the team is bad this year for a combination of many reasons, not any single item.
  17. I generally agree, but I think they should keep Sano 6th or lower until at least Sept. Treat him like a rookie at this point, even if they didn't do that in his actual rookie year.
  18. Or they just had more 1 year ior expiring contracts than normal.
  19. Plus, a winning record makes it easier to sign free agents in the off-season. Let's not forget that Duke, Lynn, and Morrison all likely agreed to their tradeable contracts because they didn't expect the Twins to be bottom dwellers.
  20. It's so weird that this team has no bench, considering Molitor only uses about 3 bullpen arms anyway.
  21. I mean, this defense is no different than most shifts these days, right?
  22. I want to get rid of some 1980s baseball cards. TD seems like a good place to talk about how/where. Would I start a thread under "Other Baseball"?
  23. The pace Lynn pitches at, I'm not too concerned.
