    I was just confused, because I don't recall they did the 'rest and rehab' thing with Paddack. He had the surgery pretty quickly.

    He threw 107 pitches. I don’t think he wanted to pitch the 8th. He seemed really appreciative that he was allowed and able to get out of the 7th, imo, from hearing him speak post-game.

    I was one who wanted to sign Donaldson and was glad they did. At the time, I think it was a good move and a good signing. The team needed an injection of energy and fight I thought Donaldson could bring. It didn’t quite gel, for whatever reason I’m not going to assume because I didn’t hear of anything while he was with the Twins. And at the time of the trade, I was very unsure of what we gave up and what we got in return. Where I stand now is I’m still glad they signed him, sorry it didn’t work out, but glad they moved on. We are currently, imo, in a better place without him.

    I think it's 5. After being sent down for the 5th time the player can elect FA, or something like that. So once recalled a 5th time, they need to stay on the roster or the team risks losing them

    Not moving Maeda to the pen if he is starting Wednesday. I don't think they will be moving him to the pen at all.

    Yeah, totally agree ... of all things, I never thought they'd have this 'problem' with the starting rotation! But not moving Ober back to St. Paul, then we are short a BP arm ... hopefully it won't be needed today or tomorrow ...

    Pitching roster ... what happens now with Ober? Keep him up, exchange him for a BP arm?

    Maeda is starting on Wednesday, so ... dunno. I don't really want Ober in the pen; I want to keep him stretched to start when needed and then next year he will have a permanent spot, I think.
