  1. I was looking for the Dozier rant but couldn't find it. Crow for sure!
  2. I'm totally confident. If you were discussing the Vikings it would be a different story.
  3. I love that term "playoff crucible"! Well done! That's why I hang out on this site. Intelligent banter and snappy conversation. Could be the name of a book!!! Even better than the "Crucible", horrible book!
  4. If the White Sox had any divisional manners they would beat the Angels tonight.
  5. 3 innings and 4 pitchers. Awesome! Love the excitement. Molitor is going hard core tonight for the win.
  6. I'd take Eddie over Hicks right now. and a lot of other players too.
  7. Mauer will not be happy about that miss...HE'S GONNA HIT A LOT TONIGHT. SCORE SOME MAJOR RUNS!
  8. You're where you need to be. We got this game. Relax and have a Coors Light.
  9. The Yankees blow...I think it will benefit us during the one game playoff. Like Russia and USA hockey in 1980. That's what I tell myself anyway...
  10. I like how quickly Berrios pitches. Doesn't take a long time between pitches. I think it throws some batters off. Always wonder why more pitchers don't employ that tactic.
  11. The Berrios breaking ball looks deadly tonight.
  12. A to Z pinot noir here. Oh, and one Coors Light
  13. This assignment is too difficult for a Thursday night. It's been a long week already. I'd rather play the game, "what are you drinking"
  14. Agreed! I think you might see 10+ k's tonight from JB. Hitting 97-98mph is great to see too.
  15. Right now its like we are bowling a 300 game...just a few frames left. Gee is out now so the bullpen is coming in. It's kind of like taking down the gutter guards. Could go either way.
  16. I'm excited! At least we should have some fun baseball to watch through September...I'm keeping my expectations high. It's just baseball anyway. After the lousy 5 years of baseball here I'm enjoying the sunshine!
  17. Here's something to ponder...or as many of our game thread intro's say: "here's something to think about"...) Did anyone ever really feel comfortable with Brandon closing? He was never a Rick Aguilera, Joe Nathan type guy. Was he a dominate type of closer? Not really. Keeping Kintzler statistically, long term, was not going to work out well. I think the Twins brain trust knew this and decided it was a great time to dump him and pick up some long-term potential. I do agree that Falvey and company have shown their hand and bailed on a potential playoff run. As a fan its very disappointing. From a business perspective I think it was shrewd.
  18. I feel good about it. Brandon is a great guy to have around, especially when your bullpen blows. However, we need to build a staff/team full of good arms. This is a good way to reach that goal. Longer term I don't think Brandon has a lot left in the tank over the next two-three years...the $500k in international pool money really helps too. Hope to see Brandon pitching in the W.S.
  19. Agreed. The kid is gonna be good. The offensive side of this team is only going to get better, especially as the youngsters mature. Keep bringing up these young pitchers until something sticks.
  20. Imagine having a closer and set up guy like Holland and McGee?
  21. You see, this is the type of post we need more of. It's designed to be reverse psychology. Even if it does make me look like an ass.
  22. I would not have PH Gimenez here. Just saying.
