  1. I have no idea if he is good enough to help this season. Obviously percentages show it is remote. I do know the last thing a team learns how to do, is how to win. If push comes to shove, I would arm the women and children.
  2. We will have to agree to disagree. I disagree with the words stunt, screw, and bad.
  3. Brock, I think it's so important to make the playoffs this season, that I would arm the women and children, so to speak.
  4. There's no crying in baseball.
  5. I think it falls under the category, that our favorite team's timeline differs from that of the fan boards. I believe it will change very significantly in the next year.
  6. Me either. Meyer crapped the bed not even 30 days ago, I don't see what the big hurry is. I mean we're talking 16 innings. The goal with top prospects, is to bring them up and keep them up. The Show was never meant to be a finishing school, particularly when you're in the hunt. The beginning of August we will know a lot more.
  7. This is not the time to throw bodies against the wall to see what sticks. When did you get off the win now bandwagon?
  8. I don't know why we should be fair to a White Sox. Pelfrey was signed coming off Tommy John and was injured all last season. Not a lot of love on the board for Mike. Nolasco had little injury history when signed and is now having difficulty staying healthy after a less than stellar 2014. Many on the board, rather than wait for to him to return to full health, would simply prefer to label him as sunk costs and DFA him. Charity starts at home.
  9. This is the greatest post ever!
  10. If it wasn't legit when they dumped him, it became legit when 29 other teams showed absolutely no interest. I believe they are starting him to showcase him to other teams. Our favorite team must be running out of baseballs.
  11. St.Peter decides how much to charge for hot dogs and beer. I don't see a major overlap between his and Ryan's duties.
  12. Target Field is going to become a parking lot.
  13. Could be. It's certainly working for Pinto in Rochester.
  14. He wasn't joking about Gilmartin.
  15. I agree. Since he was signed as a SS, no need for a moratorium there. Maybe catcher?
  16. As far as I know Sano, has not played 1B at any level. That's not putting your best team out there. Also, very few would believe sitting Mauer twice a week would improve our team long term. He's earned as long a leash as any player in baseball. It's not anywhere near time to put a fork in him.
  17. To pretend this was the sentiment of the board is patently false. I would expect more from a mod.
  18. My guess is they are showcasing Oliveros. Maybe we can get some space for international signings.
  19. You did a great job on the draft! I hope we hear a lot more from you.
  20. Could you provide specifics on that much larger problem, and how it is going to be exasperated going forward?
  21. I don't understand the near rock star status Oliveros has on this board. He was waived during ST and nary a whiff of interest. No way he comes anywhere near close to making our 40 man roster next year.
  22. I think one of Meyer, Burdi, or Jay will be up early enough to make the play-off roster. We have the pieces to have a very good bullpen, just need more time.
