  1. They're not supernatural. Detroit is God awful and will not win a game against them. The rest of the games are KC and Toronto. I'm giving them 1 loss per series to get to 9-3. I sincerely doubt they will do worse than that.
  2. I'm not sure about the Twins, but I expect Cleveland to go 10-2 or 9-3 in their next 12. They will very likely gain 2-4 games on us between now and 7/30.
  3. Brutal loss to a bad team. Quite unlucky, but still should have pulled it out. Hopefully Schoop can rest with a nice DL stint.
  4. You think the Pohlads are making $100 million per year off of the Twins? I assure you they're not. I don't know about their other businesses.
  5. The only extended DL stint for Hunter I can recall is when he broke his leg in Fenway Park. Granted, he probably had a few concussions that they didn't catch in 2003, 2004.
  6. This. Anyone who thinks the Pohlads are going to stop Falvine from making a trade over these amounts is not being reasonable. It's on Falvine to pull the trigger.
  7. I mean Morin was only OK. But couldn't Parker have another kid or a hangnail or something? Or Magill has options. I'm OK with it if they did this knowing they're acquiring 2 new relievers in the next 14 days and he would be gone eventually anyway.
  8. Actually we can't. And we certainly couldn't afford the even bigger tax cut for the wealthy. If there's an issue the GOP lost me on pre-Trump, it was that they showed themselves to be frauds in claiming to care about the deficit and the debt. Yes Dems are tax and spend. But R's are borrow and spend. And neither is remotely interested in addressing the debt, but at least Dems don't pretend otherwise.
  9. He's not a wuss, and this injury specifically has nothing to do with being fragile. But certain guys just never can stay healthy and he's one of them.
  10. I don't see giving him a long-term contact. He can't stay on the field, and his best asset doesn't age well. Keep him through his arbitration years and go from there.
  11. I also couldn't believe they didn't make Schoop bunt in the 9th. He's been awful and you have a chance to get the tying run to 2nd for Kepler and Polanco.
  12. This is true, but this was also the blessing and curse of him being an all-star. He wasn't sharp in the 1st, gave up a run and threw a ton of pitches. If he's on regular rest, it probably goes differently.
  13. He's hitting like .140 with RISP. I've seen enough too.
  14. I also think Rocco wouldn't have removed Gibson if we were playing the Royals or really anyone but the Indians. For all his "every game counts the same" rhetoric, he's managed these two games like the division is on the line, as he should.
  15. I think he'll miss tomorrow and be back Tuesday. But he is who he is. He'll never play more then 130 games in a season. I also think he is who he is at the plate. He's Kevin Kiermeir. Nice player. Not a franchise player.
  16. They got a tax cut, a SCOTUS that will overturn Roe v Wade and possibly gay marriage and migrants being treated brutally at the border. Other than locking Hillary up, it's nearly perfect. I mean the average Trump voters life isn't any better, but at least others lives are worse and libs are upset.
  17. It's possible but unlikely. It will consolidate down to 5 or 6 after Iowa and 2 or 3 after Super Tuesday. And he won't win if it goes to the convention.
  18. I agree. He has 100% name recognition and is polling 15%. But he probably won't drop out until the last primary again.
  19. So here would sign up for winning one of three this week-end?
  20. DELVIN COOK IS FINE AND WILL TOTALLY PLAY 16 GAMES THIS YEAR. BELIEVE ME.
  21. Pretty sure they do, but far fewer. I doubt a blog post goes through an editor. And honestly with modern spell check and a writer with 20 years experience, there shouldn't be many typos.
  22. As with many of Trumps couple dozen Cabinet resignations/withdrawals, a decent vetting would have stopped the process in Acosta before it started. They're either incompetent or don't care. Or both.
  23. How do you figure? Aren't they just creating a new job at Lowe's and putting more food on the table of Lowe's employees?
  24. I have equal confidence in you and Blake Parker.
