    It's not so much about Kepler as changing things up. Naturally within minutes of saying how stagnant the offense is, they put up a 6 spot.

    The Kepler leading off experiment is no longer working. Move Buxton to lead off. Kepler to 3rd.

    Unless they can go down to 7 guys in the bullpen, the bench will be Castro, Gonzalez and Adrianza once everyone is healthy. Arreaz and Astudillo will be in AAA.

    Honestly, outside of an occasional HR hot streak, what does Schoop have to offer? I expected at least above average defense and we're not getting that.

    Frankly, I'm starting to see what the Brewers did in Schoop.

    I haven't watched a Blake Parker inning in real time in weeks. How many high wire escapes in these extra inning games has he had? How do you guys do it? Even on fast forward on my DVR my blood pressure is up 20 points. Anyway, good win. But the offense has to stop letting these games drag on and on.

    That's part of it. But even with that, if you're a high ranking Senator who can stay in office for years like Klobuchar or Warren, do you want to give that up to be VP, which as one former VP said "is like a warm bucket of spit." I guess if you think you're the successor, maybe. But that hasn't actually happened since Bush 43.

    I get that Harper and Morin aren't great. But they've both pitched to an ERA of under 3.00 in a half season and we're pining for a guy in AAA with a career ERA over 6 to replace them?

    The leading contenders for VP are Buttigeig and Castro. I'm not sure any of the sitting Senators would even want to give up their seat to be on the ticket, though Kaine did.

    Since it's a IL move, they could have called him back up, but they would have needed to do it when Odorizzi went on the IL.

    Unless the bullpen is taxed on Friday/Saturday, I'm guessing they go with Mejia and hope to get 4-5 innings since it's the last game before the break.

    Yep. And if it's 30% of the total population, it's an even lower % of the party obviously.

    Wanting a ticket that reflects the base of the party isn't a bad thing. The R's will have two old white men on the ticket again, adequately representing their base.

    Ugly loss to the Twins reject special Herrman, Grossman and Hendricks. Odorizzi and Perez having a race to see who can turn back into a pumpkin faster. Get MadBaum and Smith here ASAP.

    Harris/Buttigeig maybe. I don't think we will see a ticket with two men or two white people.

    The response should have been easy. "I have always fought for equality and will continue to do so. Over the course of many decades, my opinion on some issues has changed. I don't think the American people are interested in re-litigating the minutia of a policy from 40 years ago." Instead he got down in the weeds and lost.
