    Here's to more showin' the hose!! I think the whole team needs to do it until they lose again. Maybe we can stretch that hose-showing into a winning streak! (* tell you what, tho, as an old guy, it really bugs me with the long pants that cover the shoes*)

    Geez, they battle back, get a lead, then Molly waves the white flag with Pressly in the 8th. What th.....? Looks like another game we'll have to try to win in spite of the Mgr. Edit: Whewwwwww.... it worked out anyway, thanks to a couple of at-em balls.

    Arrrrgh-- Esco, too! But at least he worked a walk. You know, the thing is-- we SUCK at bunting, as a team. Nobody but Bartolo Colon can lay one down to move guys along anyway, so when we try bunting for a hit.... (esp. with RISP) Come on, guys. It's not like there are RBI machines anywhere in our lineup. Get it done with the bat, not the bunt.

    Heh.. I only started to check in on the game last inning. And I'm still burning. I lay that crappy inning right at BD's feet. Those 2 bunt attempts, followed by the typical Mighty Casey swing.... That ain't gettin' 'er done. Sheesh.....

    Memo to BD-- that fake bunt, and bunting up the line with men on, and you're the only power threat in the lineup? ---That sucks. Geez, I gotta edit this- and Mauer does is sometimes, too, taking a walk when a hit would score a run-- when you're supposed to be THE GUY, don't abdicate your responsibility to perhaps drive in a run, and leave it to the next guy.

    If there is something we lead the league in, I think that's it. I know I'm not alone barking at the broadcast when one of those pitches comes in. I mean, come on, little leaguers learn not to leave a close pitch up to the ump. Foul it off, for chrissakes- you can't just take a borderline pitch in those situations.

    Cripe, they're trying awfully hard to give us some runs; are we gonna take it, or say 'no thanks?'

    Well, Dozey-- you showed some heart, popping off, but didn't show much faking a bunt, and popping up.

    I like how the boys battled tonight, but the telltale sign was evident again. It's sad when your team has 2nd and 3rd with less than 2 outs, or bases loaded and less than 2, and you shrug your shoulders and sigh, instead of getting excited at the possibilities. Pitching woes are a given with this team, but it's the lack of timely hitting that have and will cost us any shot at a playoff position.

    Heh... that is the most aptly-named #5 starter in the Twinks rotation I've seen so far. Pity, tho, that moniker has applied to whoever's pitching in the 3 and 4 spots as well...

    oh, Gawd, I'd kind of forgotten about him. That makes me kind of sad. Watch them send down anybody but Breslow, Belisle, Pressly, or Buddy. That would make me kind of mad.

    Whoa- It's the Fort he's at, not Cedar Rapids. Aggressive-- YES! And I like it! When I saw this post, I thought, well, it's about time they promoted him to CR, where he's still a little older than the average- but seeing it's already High-A, I'm digging it. So if he struggles, which I fully expect, so be it. It'll be the first step of adjustments he'll need to make on his way up, and he'll learn how to do that-- hopefully. Go get 'em, Rook! And thanks, Falvine, if this was your doing. Now can we talk about being more aggressive with young pitchers, and maybe a little less signing aging retreads?

    When I can watch, I usually get the other team's feed. Always need a puke bucket nearby if it's the Yanks or Red Sox, but it's kind of fun to play "guess the excuse" for losing to the Twinks. They used up theirs already when we were up 2-0. Of course, it's the fatigue from the trip. But the 8th inning rally included some lucky little bleeders for hits against the mighty Yanks. Come on, Brandon. Shut 'em down.
