I am convinced that this season and the pennant race are in spite of the mgr, not because of him. How many dang games has he already cost with bone-headed lineups and in-game decisions?
So this is a major difference between a Cleveland team and the present Twinkie team. They get their guys over, and get 'em on in when they have the chance. A few less K's that don't advance the runner, and a few less Mighty Casey swings when a short poke to the grass would do just fine....
And it's one game, Baby.... anything can happen. But Gawd, wouldn't it be wonderful to stick a fork in the Yanks in a one-game playoff? In their yard? Heh......
I'm really glad to see the young man's perseverance finally bearing some fruit. What a joy he is to watch! If there's a hole in his all around game right now, I have to think it's those wispy chin whiskers... those have got to go....
Can we get on with the business of just literally squishing those White Sox this week? Losing that 5 game series to them still sticks in my craw. Gawd, I hate that team, with or without the Hawkster.
