  1. From the opener of 'Camden Chat'- the O's SB Nation blog: You shouldn't gamble on sports, but if you did, thinking about the "over" on runs would probably seem tempting tonight, what with Ubaldo Jimenez and his 6.52 ERA scheduled to pitch for the Orioles and Kyle Gibson and his 8.20 ERA scheduled to pitch for the Twins.
  2. Boy, I like this Duffey. I think we got one right here, folks.
  3. Wowza-- I was watching that game, too. Tuned in after it started, my first glimpse of Herbie was him holding a runner on at first. I said, right out loud, "Wow, who in the H is that kid? He's HUGE!"
  4. And Esco doing some designated hittin' !!
  5. Well, except for Gibby and Hughes. They're pretty much the same. But I like how the boys didn't just roll over this time. They've made some good solid comebacks so far this year.
  6. Gee, I'm quoting myself. .....and Gibby gets a Snapper Mow-em-Down Inning. Order of crow, table 5 please. OK, but that's enough now, Molly. Please don't do it again. Sidebar- he did look like a good reliever just then. Maybe......
  7. Since I can't watch the game, just a quick question- when Castro got called out on strikes, did he walk back the dugout kvetching over his shoulder at the ump- as per usual?
  8. Just back from class-- whew! Looks like we may survive a Gibby start! Now, who comes in, Duffey? Rogers? Those are about the only guys out there that don't make me mimic that Munch painting... Please, for the love of God, don't put Gibby back on that mound, Molly...
  9. And that '65 Series where if it wasn't for that %#$@& Koufax.....
  10. Thanks for that. At least I've got a rockin' good song in my head now.
  11. After living next to Wrigley for so many years, that's just a post-game ritual you have perform when you sit there. Bleaching your a** and all the rest of ya--
  12. Hi, Nelly here. I'm hoping for a good outing, even tho' Gibby gives me Pelf-digestion. Urrrp...
  13. Well, I think it's too soon for Gibby coming back, but there really aren't too many other options. I wish him well, cuz we need another guy to step up. Maybe he got his head cleared a little down there in Roch. That said, I think a couple of the relievers got their heads cleared a little, too, watching their BP mates get DFA'd. A little extra incentive, maybe, and perhaps Gibby picked up on some of that, too. Quick edit- I still don't know what to make of the Wilk Era- he's got some good stuff, but then again, so does Tonkin. Maybe keep him around, but I'd be just fine if that Era was already over, too.

  16. Y'know, I was kind of hoping the Twinks would snap up Al Albuquerque over the winter. I can say now, I'm glad he's on our side!
  17. Gave up on the game, got on the subway to Tsim Sha Tsui. And wow, Kennys....
  18. Welp, Joe doesn't get the guy to 3rd, Sano tries to tie the game instead of driving in a crucial run, and we're making Strahm look like his first name is Cy.
  19. Geez, Strahm. Take your time, slow down, don't rush things, yah?
  20. Just an idea here, about the bus trip-- maybe you just, kinda, like, thought you did, man?
  21. In that case, I'd bring up Murph, and let Garver get even more ABs and steady catching work- some of it with pitchers who may be Twins before long themselves.
