  1. Very! It's been years since I had Green Mill... They don't have a presence in the south.
  2. It's really boring, isn't it?! It must be mentally draining to be a Dodgers fan...
  3. The one game I paid attention to it looks like he lost the leg kick again.... He needs to find a method and stick to it.
  4. It's almost like ST doesn't matter... Weird!
  5. I hope the FO dictates the battle between Vielma and Gordon for SS playing time. Vielma from all we've read is the better fielding SS right now, but long term Gordon is the better prospect. I'd like to read about Gordon starting at SS the majority of the season. Potential wins be damned.
  6. I'm not hoping they lose baseball games either. Literally a week ago the concensus on this site was this is a ~75 win team. So if that's the case, what good is it to have Erv Santana doing well on a 75 win team? He can provide real value in a trade getting MLB ready players in return. And the Twins get out before Santana's end of career decline. If they are above .500 and sniff a wild card on July 30, **** it and go for it. Until that happens I'm operating under the assumption that this is a non playoff 75 win team.
  7. Let's not get lost in the weeds. In the big picture theyre still multiple pitchers away from playoff contention. If Erv keeps it up, I sure would like a nice haul of prospects to help make the next step toward being a playoff team.
  8. It's always nice to plan ahead in life, but this ad I'm seeing for senior citizen independent living may be outside of my demographic....
  9. Uhhhhh, according to the TV broadcast, divide that number by 2... Then DOUBLE it. And divide it by 3 and that's the real attendance number.
  10. That K rate for Sano is frightening.... Says negative nancies 3 days ago.
  11. Haven't been following the thread but in case if this is due, Happy Birthday Mike!
  12. Thanks Bark! We convinced our cousins to move over to the bar area and watch the game to escape family drama happening in the next room over. Best decision we've made today!
  13. Might as well shut down the lights. Season's over. First pitch is a ball.
  14. Pretty much. It's my first time seeing these guys this year.. Bert also has new glasses I see.
  15. Twins game is on at VFW where post memorial is at.. Sano looks good with dreads!
  16. Not gonna be on here today as it's my uncle's memorial service... 59 is too early to go and cancer is a *****... Have no fear, the Twins will win today because my uncle would want a win on this day. Enjoy opening day everyone.
  17. Vargas has a long ways to go to prove he could be a full time DH. I doubt he's on this team next season. Park's projection is aggressive. Hope you're right. If Grossman is hitting at a .676 OPS clip, then he shouldn't get 200 ABs and should be released. His defense was/is horrendous. If he doesn't match his offensive performance last year he has negative value on this team.
  18. A near .800 OPS is too aggressive for my taste. He's still young and learning. Maybe in the next year or 2 he reaches that level. This year I'm predicting 450 PA, .700-.725 OPS with 15 HR.
  19. Agree with Dave and Mike that Buxton will be a 4 WAR player this season. A lot of it will come from his elite defense... It's going to be fun tracking his progression. I still think he's going to have some slumps which will decrease the numbers overall. .725-.750 OPS, 18 HR, 14 Web Gems on Baseball Tonight.
  20. This just in: 32 year old who was one of the best hitters we've ever seen doesn't live up to enormous FA contract. Color me shocked.
  21. No doubt. No regrets from the moment he was traded to the Angels from me. I'll bet the under that Meyer has 50.5 career MLB starts.
