    Hildenberger has had 3 months with an ERA under 3.5 in his MLB career so far. Hasn't stopped the narrative that he's a set up man... I don't get it.

    The disappointing thing to me is not taking advantage of the banked wins from April and May. They were 23 games over .500 on June 2nd. And treading water ever since... This year was a prime opportunity to make a splash in July to take advantage of their hot start... Romo and Dyson are fine additions. I guess it's my fault hoping for more out of this organization.

    He wasn't very good in the bullpen earlier this year. Given how he's been pitching for the last 3 months I don't see him being an asset in the bullpen either. There's better ways to spend $7.5 million next year... Cut him loose after the season.

    Without seeing a game log my assumption is Castro is his catcher when they play against contenders and Garver is his catcher against non contenders. Would love to know what you're using to dig through the numbers myself.

    His career numbers with Castro includes 2017 before he overhauled his approach and got better. Not a fair comparison IMO.

    It's 2019, people can create their own perception and find some sort of data to help back it up. My perception aligns more with SD Buhr... More could have been done this year to supplement a good lineup aside from the people who were actually traded. My perception is Cleveland has the pitching, and now thanks to the trade deadline, the offense to keep up their red hot winning ways. The Twins are the ones who have to desperately grasp at straws to save the pitching staff. Because of their inactivity, they are looking to rely on a 20 year old with 40 AA innings on his resume to be a bullpen savior.

    Actually, burning options is a big deal when it comes to prospects you think will be stars. You don't want to be stuck in the future if he's struggling as a 24 year old and unable to send him to AAA. When it comes to marginal prospects like relievers, then I agree. Burn em...

    Everything you typed makes perfect sense to me. When the 2019 season is over, how can we reasonably predict the offense will be on a historic pace again?

    I blame the manager for the reckless and DANGEROUS decision to have him pitch the same day he took a 2 hour 40 minute flight. No human being on Earth can handle those conditions. I also blame the person who sat next to Dyson on the plane. Clearly they bumped his arm during turbulence and it's wrecking his tenure with his new team. #HawtTaeks

    It's a beautiful thing when you have the power to move the goal posts one year into the future every year... Don't worry gunnarthor, 2020 is the year they'll make a big splash! If not, 2021 is definitely the year!

    Meh, it's not like he would play over Sano or Marwin at that position either.

    Schoop is good insurance if Arraez hits a wall. It's possible he becomes the odd man out entirely on the playoff roster if the Twins need more flexibility. Overall he fit his role well this season for the team. He was signed as a placeholder until other options hit their way into the equation. Mission accomplished.

    It's that time of year where I have way too much hope in seeing a good Gophers football team. Like the past 60+ years, QB remains the ultimate question mark... Sounds like Annexstad will be out for the season, so the competition is Murphy vs. 2 true freshman. Looking at the rest of the roster, I don't think I've ever seen this much talent on offense. 3 RBs with 1,000 yard seasons on their resume, 2 very good WRs, and all of the OL returning. Given the schedule this year (No Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State games) this is their best opportunity in a very long time to make it to the B1G championship game.

    Tell me about it... I had to bite the bullet and sell low to free up cash for a down payment... That was painful.

    Sam Dyson is a grown ass man who I'm sure is very capable of jumping on a plane and pitching the same day... My God. It's just a bad game. It wasn't a managerial failure, they didn't put him in an impossible circumstance.

    All of these new trends are going to add up to an ugly work stoppage IMO. Teams will continue to value prospects because of cost certainty and the system in place to depress their salary. Players are going to be upset because the system was set up to reward tenured MLB players and owners are no longer holding up that end of the deal (fairly so). What we're seeing (boring free agency, constipated trade deadline) are all symptoms to a much bigger problem in the near future.

    Perhaps trades aren't the best avenue to bank on improvement for the team... I hear there's a period of time in the winter where teams only have to spend money to acquire players!

    They did fine. 2 new relievers is good. I'd be lying if I say I'm happy. I expected more to be honest...

    As they should. And I hope all fans express their frustration with Dave St. Peter, Falvine, and anyone else that will listen. This is unforgivable.

    Yep. This one hurts. Gotta think about why I care about this team when ownership/FO doesn't care to supplement the team.

    A completely missed opportunity. This is going to put a huge damper on the rest of the season for me.
