  1. He did. Entering tonight he's had 90 appearances for the Stros after we dumped him with a 3.19 ERA. Something still stinks in this organization even with all of the recent turnover.
  2. In my search hunting for the good per Shelty, the sunset is pretty nice after a day of mostly cloudy skies. Turn that drone camera around so they show the skyline when you're sitting at the stadium.
  3. Really unfortunate we ran into a buzzsaw pitcher in 33 year old Jason Alexander tonight
  4. I've been milking this one podcast for long enough now so last Plouffe thought. He said Morneau was instrumental to him figuring it out at the MLB level. Let's get him more involved with coaching up players. Bring back the old network of dudes like Torii, Joe Mauer, Johan, etc. to turn this ship around.
  5. Plouffe also mentioned the White Sox SS Colson Montgomery story when he was sent to extended spring training for exclusively 1 on 1 coaching to figure it out. I’d rather both Wallner and Lewis doing that vs. facing inferior AAA pitching.
  6. A disturbing trend for sure. Only the Dodgers can spend enough to overcome a horrid prospect development program.
  7. I doubt it’s anything attitude related for either one of them. As Plouffe said in the Skor North Twins podcast, sending them to Florida changes their environment. Before the agreement with the Saints to be the AAA affiliate, players at least were sent to Rochester, NY to change up their routine. Lewis and Wallner currently are living at the same place, same routine, etc. all that has changed is driving on I-94 west to St Paul instead of Minneapolis. Has anything truly changed for Wallner or Lewis? The fans and media can both follow them easily to St Paul and continue to micromanage their performances. Sending them to FL allows a true reset and out of daily local media coverage.
  8. I loved Plouffe’s idea of sending Wallner and Lewis to Fort Myers together. He’s correct, this team isn’t going anywhere without them figuring it out.
  9. Thanks to @Chris HoveI have been checking out Baseball Savant’s ABS leaderboard and it’s pretty fascinating. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/abs It’s data I’ve been curious about but haven’t looked too closely until now. Jeffers as a C on the field has 36 challenges and a 22-14 record overturning the call. Caratini as a C has 25 challenges and a 19-6 record.
  10. Old friend Steven Okert has a 3.19 ERA in 90 games for Houston since the Twins got rid of him. Something is still rotten in this organization and we haven’t found the source yet.
  11. At least there's some good news today... Buxton back in the lineup per Aaron Gleeman
  12. Games played the last 3 seasons - assuming this is a season ending surgery... 2024 - 47 games 2025 - 65 games 2026 - 25 games Right thumb surgery in 2024, Ankle and Oblique injuries in 2025, left thumb surgery in 2026.
  13. Thanks. Lots of moving parts today! Zoll must be really banking on a 2-3 week reset in St Paul is going to do the trick. Hope he's right.
  14. I don’t think it’s confirmed yet it’s St Paul for Royce. I agree with you and think he needs the Miguel Sano full reset in Fort Myers
  15. He probably needs the Miguel Sano full reset. Send him to Fort Myers and rebuild his swing from the ground up in a low pressure, controlled environment. I hope they don't rush him back after a week of good hitting. They need to take a long term approach to saving his career. As far as trading him is concerned, the Twins don't have the luxury of giving up on talent. This team is not a playoff contender and won't be for 2-3 years. Give him some patience to turn things around.
  16. This is a question for the general audience... Has anyone found a website that tracks player challenges and their success rate? Baseball Reference unfortunately ties it to the manager. https://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/mgr_challenge_count_leagues.shtml
  17. I am curious with Jeffers out, how much worse are we going to be with ABS challenges? Jeffers is a key cog in our challenge success rate so far.
  18. That would be my ideal IF lineup as well. Haven't seen a single second of Arcia though. Does he still have the range and glove to play SS every day?
