    Okay cool. The OF for the remaining games needs to be some combination of Jenkins, E-Rod, and Keaschall. Larnach should not be taking any more PAs away from them. He can have Bell’s DH PAs if anything.

    Anything and everything should be on the table after missing the playoffs in 5 out of the last 6 seasons.

    This roster needs a lot of help in order to be competitive as soon as next year.

    Keeping the status quo continues to make 1/3rd of the league’s franchises irrelevant. Unless you have a world class development program like Milwaukee, sustained success is not possible for the bottom revenue teams. Edit: I want to see big changes in this next CBA. Making slight tweaks to the current format won’t be enough. If it takes 18 months for major changes to happen, that’s the cost of doing business. Hopefully they can figure it out before a full season is lost.

    Catching the ball is pretty important at 1B, and catching the ball is a consistent challenge for Keaschall. Do we think he'll be able to scoop throws made to him after watching him botch more than his fair share of ground balls at 2B? I have my doubts.

    If losing baseball in 2027 means a future where the Dodgers can't buy all of the top FAs every year, I will take that trade off.

    The status quo will set up the 2 new expansion teams to fail. Or continue preventing expansion from happening in the first place.

    Today was the last “warm” 80 degree day before it falls into the 60s the rest of the week. Good for my electric bill, but I will miss the warm weather

    I suppose the 49ers have the slight advantage at halftime flying into Australia a week early vs. the Rams who flew in basically today in Australia time?

    Idk why the NFL has ventured out this far in the world to expand the game. It’s lunch time for Australians on September 11th but still 8:50 PM September 10th here.

    What player making multiple millions of dollars that season had to compete for anything? It’s a yes or no to accept Royce Lewis as your 1B for all of next year.

    It’s mostly about the Ohtani contract and the Dodgers taking that loophole to the extreme. Over $1 billion in deferred salary is ridiculous… The players will need to receive something in return for a cap, and I think the best way to get players money earlier in their career. Spit balling here, but they could revamp the initial control years to 2 minimum contract years then 2 arbitration/restricted FA years. MLB gets a younger FA pool which increases fan interest.

    No arguments from me on the 3 names. Bummed about Royce, but it's time for a fresh start for both the Twins and him. Ober is going to cost too much on his last arb year, and probably why Zoll valued Kremer's 2027 option year in a trade, Others I will add to the list are Austin Martin and Matt Wallner.

    We will have all the time in the world to discuss this in more detail... A cap and floor needs to happen. Equal revenue sharing throughout the league, deferrals in contracts eliminated. The players in return get a reduction from 6 years of control to 4 so they can reach FA or get their 2nd contract earlier in their career.

    2024 is #1 and it's not even close. They had a 90% chance of making the playoffs heading into September, peaked at 13 games over .500 on September 2nd, and fell flat on their face for a 9-18 record.

    Gonna be honest I’ve only watched a majority of 1 game over the last week or more. It’s getting really old watching the same nose dive year after year.

    Simply for the fact that the Pohlads aren’t going to pay 3 manager salaries in 1 year. I have no idea how much longer we are paying out Rocco since manager contracts are treated like nuclear missile codes in Minnesota.

    After further review… let me ask a Jets fan like yourself. They already have 3 1st round picks this next draft. Plenty of ammo to move up to a top 3 pick regardless. Maybe they’ll try to win? Cant say that for Miami. They are unapologetically tanking while the enormous dead cap hit passes.

    The Jets and Dolphins both actively tanking will probably get them to the wild card

    The Patriots are a pretty clear regression team this year. Their schedule last season was, IIRC hearing on Sirius XM, the easiest for any team since 1983.

    And unfortunately in the NFL there are no cupcakes to schedule like NCAA football scheduling a directional state school the first couple of weeks.

    The Twins have had a player talent deficiency for several years now. I’m placing more blame on the FO that has control of the roster instead of the manager. Something is still rotten in this organization after the fire sale and firing of Rocco/other coaches.
