Apathy is setting in for this team. Hard to get worked up anymore when this is what they do week in and week out. They gave Morrison 2.5 months to figure it out and he's still playing bad. It's time to get rid of him. Kepler's struggles against RH pitching is something no one wants to talk about. They don't have 9 MLB-ready replacements on the farm. I guess just let him try to hit through the slump.
It's all kind of arbitrary and silly, no? Why don't we count warm up pitches toward their pitch count between innings? Or pitches in the bullpen before the game?
Agreed. It sounds like an intervention to get his life and career back on track. People in the past have posted "Why don't the Twins hire a nutritionist/personal trainer for Sano?" Well, they got their wish. He'll probably stay near the facility, get all of his meals prepared by someone else there, and get back to the basics.
Interesting note I read... Miguel Sano has 77 days remaining before he surpasses 3 years of service time... He could be a minimum salary player again next season depending on how long the demotion lasts. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/06/twins-option-miguel-sano.html
Obviously these things happen over the years, like Knoblauch losing all ability to throw the baseball. It's still fascinating and frustrating how someone can have a mechanical breakdown like this. How does this happen?
Next time they need to get women and children out of the first few rows of the stands just in case... Copyright Dark Star talking about Frankie Franchise.
Batters 4-9 in the lineup last night went 1-21 with 9 K, 8 LOB... And frankly they should have been 0-21 if Morrison didn't get that gift bloop single. No opposing pitcher should be intimidated by any hitter in the lineup past the Eddies.
Sigh... Reed has really hurt the team this year. Probably wouldn't hurt to, you know, try someone else in close, late inning games. Same story, different day with this offense.
You ride out Romero as long as you can this year. No innings limit unless he shows fatigue later on. He's a fairly young guy with a great arm. Time to take off the training wheels.
This is an awesome opportunity! Wish I could take advantage of it... If anyone is going and willing to get a picture signed for me I would pay for shipping, handling, and gratuity.
