  1. The major difference between Lewis and your two examples (Acuna/Albies) is the latter were international FA signings. Albies got $350k in 2013, Acuna got $100k in 2014. Lewis received a $6.75 million signing bonus as the #1 overall pick in the draft.
  2. Berrios v. Gray. And the potential to see the first playoff series win in 21 years? That might be enough for me to buy a ticket today…
  3. I respect the decision to allow him to finish out the inning. Now it’s time. GREAT performance, Pablo!
  4. That 1-1 pitch was so good from Lopez, it froze the umpire too. Buddy, that was right in the bread basket.
  5. Got the jitters out of the way. Let’s go bats!!
  6. Pictured: Me telling the casual Twins fans in my group chat that the pitching staff is the best it’s been in 20+ years, the offense was the 2nd ranked unit in the 2nd half, and there are 3 really good rookies to cheer for.
  7. Plus, we all know @Brock Beauchamp only sits in the Champions Club next to Taylor Swift
  8. It’s Tuesday. No one wants to work on Tuesday!
  9. We will get a GoFund Me started so you can attend future games if they win.
  10. Michael Kay and A-Rod will be the broadcast team for our series. Might have to test out how far ahead/behind the radio broadcast is from the TV.
  11. https://twitter.com/danhayesmlb/status/1708881730596229599?s=46&t=YdnB8yC6KsAGCRK6WIUWqg I’ll take an order of Walleye sliders, please! And the tater tot hot dish!
  12. I see Hunter as the most likely to get traded. As we are seeing, having a league leader in sacks isn’t making the defense that much better. I’d like a 2nd round pick for him… Davenport, Cleveland, Osborn might fetch us a 4th round or later pick. For sure, I would hope Kwesi uses some creativity to get some better value out of the trades.
  13. Hopefully Kwesi views trade deadlines in a baseball lens by flipping the expiring contracts for picks if we are 2-5 at the deadline. I’ll be more upset if Kirk says after the trade deadline no one approached him from the team to approve a trade.
  14. Carolina has one of the league’s best backups in Andy Dalton too. I don’t know why Frank Reich wants to limit his offense to nothing but screen passes.
  15. The stars are truly aligning this year to make a Kirk trade… That’s if he is open to it, and the Wilfs won’t interfere. The Falcons and Steelers have awful QB play from their young options. Of course the Jets have made sense instantly when Rodgers tore his Achilles. Let’s make something happen.
  16. What a strange game. Vintage Harry the Hitman performance. Marcus Davenport looked pretty darn good today. Our offense was mostly trash, minus 2 drives. Carolina didn’t challenge our defense at all, which is weird.
  17. The Vikings woke up!
  18. Rock bottom game for sure. I hope Kwesi views the trade deadline in a baseball lens and ships out every expiring contract he can.
