  1. Cam Bynum what were you doing there?
  2. Oh he will. It's what he does
  3. Same. I can't remember the last time it rained here in MN.
  4. I was going to rip out the rest of my garden, but that can wait until another day. We've got a few more days left of Indian Summer up here. Currently 74 degrees and sunny... I'm out on the deck with the big TV on the game, and the small TV on Red Zone.
  5. Just tell your neighbors you're going for the "native landscape" look
  6. We're due for a Jefferson 150 yard 2+ TD day
  7. Now you just reminded me of the thousand yard blank stare that Leslie Frasier had on the sidelines as our HC
  8. Goff getting rattled this early in the game is a great sign for us
  9. Perfect start so far. SKOL!
  10. If Dobnak has a role on the 2025 Twins, something went very, very wrong. He’s been a sunk cost for 3 years.
  11. Having a cap ceiling just anchors down the teams who can spend more but aren't able to because of the ceiling. The teams who can't spend as much just take on cap dumps (or injured players who won't play anyways but eat up cap space). And to top it off, because you have a ceiling, players/agents are smart enough to know where the money is. Getting $10m from Minnesota for instance would be like getting $8m in Tampa once you factor in state income taxes (numbers aren't exact, I'm just using an example). So if you have a hard cap, you're just helping out the teams with little to no state income taxes because they're now at a big advantage by not having to pay guys as much which allows them to sign more higher quality players to fit under the hard cap. It's the reason the majority of winners in the NHL the last decade are from teams with little to no state taxes.
  12. I’ve gone back and forth on this, and at the end of the day it doesn’t solve the real problem MLB has. Which is owners that don’t care about winning a World Series title. That’s well over 50% of them in baseball.
  13. Big time players make big time plays. Soto crushed that ball
  14. Just tuning in after Georgia sealed the win against Texas
  15. Bring lots of sunscreen!
  16. This is just my assumption with no evidence to back it up. I assume Joe Pohlad was planning on having a consistent $150-165 million payroll, and the rest of the family decided to change direction. As much as I’ve enjoyed watching him on our favorite team, I wouldn’t blame him if he requests a trade somewhere else.
  17. I want Ohtani in the WS for sure. And it’s been 15 years since the Yankees have appeared in a WS so I’m good with that too. For a major market team like the Yankees that is an eternity
  18. Over the last couple years I have wondered whether I still enjoy baseball or not. This year’s playoffs is reminding me that I still enjoy baseball. I just don’t enjoy the type of baseball the Twins have been playing.
  19. No way Dennis Allen and coaching staff survive after the season. The Saints were the clear frauds of the season.
  20. Broncos and a severely injured Saints team face off tonight
  21. With this current MLB landscape, it could potentially push out the old guard of owners. Which is good for the health of the league.
  22. Agreed. Relievers are the kings of SSS. He’s had arm injuries before and they can pop up again. If Duran, or a package of players including Duran, can fetch a young controllable SP or a middle of the order bat, we have to consider it.
  23. Probably out this week unfortunately
  24. Vikings acquire RB Cam Akers once again. He’s better than Gaskin but that’s about it.
  25. Miraculously, Davante Adams’ hamstring injury that kept him out the last 3 games has cleared up just in time for him to practice and play this week
