I was just starting freshman year of high school, or grade 9 for Canadians, in 2004. Fresh off my Pee Wee hockey team making the state tournament and winning a couple of games! I moved right to the high school varsity hockey team in this era.

All good my friend! This team wasn’t ready until Lewis, Wallner, and Julien took over in the 2nd half. Here’s the beauty of sports in Minnesota… Yes, there is a lot of cynicism about these teams. We have put our belief and undying passion into these teams time and time again. Only to be failed with first round exits. We finally have a team that has moved on in the playoffs, and now every single person is behind them. We’re all STARVING for a championship run. Why not this team? Why not now?!
