What was this about? What are you suggesting? The first post you made is the under market rate contract is a no brainer but Duran would never sign it. So we have to offer market rates or higher. You feel better about me saying top half of the league in bullpen? Because that’s what I meant and you kindly showed stats where they have shown to cobble together a top half of the league bullpen with relative nobodies.

    Bingo. Not without sacrificing something else. Would I rather have a $15 million closer, or use that money on a bat, or multiple players for the roster? I know what I’m choosing.

    You say that this year but you don’t know what the future holds. If playoff success is all you’re seeking, there are unlikely playoff heroes all the time. A mid market team like the Twins can’t afford market rate prices for relievers without sacrificing something else. Falvey has proven over multiple seasons the ability to cobble together a top of the league bullpen.

    Their next 6 opponents have a combined record of 16-25 at the moment. Conservatively they’re winning 4 out of 6, then right in the mix at 7-6. They could reel off 7 wins in a row and solidify themselves as the 2nd tier NFC team behind San Fran and Philly. With Kirk, I continue on with the plan. Which, to me, is finish out the contract then make a play for a rookie QB.

    Firing Donatell and hiring Flores might be the biggest upgrade in the entire NFL. Imagine if that guy had the 49ers talent to coach up.

    Idk who to credit, but agreed. Bradbury has become an above average, dare I say good center who can now pass block some of the best NT in the game. Ingram is the weak link by default but still a top 15 RG starter in the league. Darrisaw and O’Niell are arguably the best OT duo in the league.

    In the bottom line, there was a very interesting stat. Since 2012, the Vikings are 51-1 when heading into the 4th quarter with a lead at home.

    If they go for it on 4th down inside the 5 yard line and convert, this is a comfortable game. 8 points is easy.
