  1. Lol, just make it through the first month of the regular season and I will be impressed.
  2. I hate going off of ST, but the Twins look bad.
  3. Duran looked terrible, trade him for cash consideration.
  4. Duran was pretty rusty. Was hoping to see a little improvement with his control. Yup, it is only ST, but he looked really messy
  5. Until the fans show their displeasure by not filling the stadium the owners will continue to nickel and dime this team to squeeze every last penny out of until they finally sell it.
  6. I find this trade simply a money grab if from my understanding they are receiving 5 million. Miller was a good prospect and hopefully this will not bite us. I never mind trading prospects if we get something equally in return. This was not one of those trades and again shows the inability of Twins management to put together any type of fair trade when unloading prospects. Dodgers imo won this one.
  7. I get the article, but I am glad the organization got this much pushback. The owners duped the fans into purchasing a new stadium and the only way management will understand that the fans are fed up is if they simply don't show up. The management wants us to emulate the Rays? How is their attendance? How about the Royals? How many fans filter into that stadium yearly?
  8. This really is nothing new. The Pohlad's duped the fans into getting them a new stadium , they didn't hold true to continuing to raise payroll because of the new stadium, they have never really spent from season to season to remain competitive and they have clearly shown they don't care about rings and care more about how much profit they can squeeze out of the team.
  9. If he could actually stay healthy for longer than 1/4 season he might have a chance to get player of the week.
  10. Due to his injuries and inability to stay healthy in his short career , I am not sold that this isn't going to be a Buxton 2.0 I am having a difficult time understanding the difficulty of this team in the regards to keeping players healthy. I understand injuries happen but not to this extent. Lewis brings a tremendous amount of energy to this team, but so did Buxton. Same type of personality, but all that is for not if he can't stay healthy.
  11. I really don't mind this signing. It just seems the Twins are putting together a package for a starter. I think this team is starting to come together to at least make them competitive. That really is all I want. Go Twins
  12. Gallo 2.0, clearly the Twins love doing signings like this. For most of the fans they will pump their fists in agreement with this trade due to his past, but others who understand statistics and his overall decline will just punch the wall with their fists knowing that the Twins have no plans at actually signing a high caliber starter due to them being cheap.
  13. What a fantastic win. I don't care how Coreaa did in the regular season, what he is accomplishing right now makes him worth every penny. How exciting to think that we could possibly take this season at home . The crowd imo is our x factor. Go Twins
  14. No one believed the Twins would sweep their way into the World Series. Doesn't work like that. I hate that we lost but we didn't get blown out and we didn't even have our best pitcher on the mound. Many posters mentioned that the Ober/Maeda combo was a great idea, but now are lambasting Rocco. I liked the attempt by Rocco on this one to attempt to keep a potent lineup at bay. Let's take the next one and win this series at home.
  15. What a fantastic sweep. We have waited so long to see the curse broken and on the next day another bad record falls. Anything can happen and now we get bonus baseball. Go Twins!
  16. I agree with a bunch of the comments on here but I don't agree with keeping Jax in this bullpen. Imo he is the biggest liability and shouldn't be called upon in any close situations. Other than that I think this is one of the better pitching staffs going into the playoffs that the Twins have had in 20 years.
  17. His injury history simply is not looking good. I won't buy into another player who is very similar to Buxton in regards to how often they both were littered with injuries early in their careers. He simply hasn't shown that he can stay healthy.
  18. It was a entertaining game to say the least. I think it might be time to turn the page on Keuchel unless you use him in the bullpen. He doesn't haven't anymore and is really a liability when facing good teams. Gallo needs to be dumped and give room for someone else. This experiment should be over and I just don't understand on why they are so reluctant to drop him. He offers no value in his batting and his defense is average.
  19. This team is such a head scratcher. What a great win tonight and games like this really give me hope that we can break the playoff curse.
  20. I see a lot of knee jerk reaction in regards to this being the worst loss of the season. Not true. Did this sting? Yup, but it still doesn't change the fact that we hold a 5 game lead and will have a chance to put it out of reach when we play them again. I was frustrated by Rocco again but I don't care. This team isn't a World Series team, this team is simply good enough to win a weak division. People seem to forget that. They don't have the talent to succeed in a deep playoff run. All I really hope is that they can break the curse and win one game and because expectations are that low for me, it is pretty easy to brush this loss off. One thing I just can't wrap my head around is bringing in a left handed pitcher against a guy that crushes left handed pitchers. If Rocco is so dead set and playing the analytics, this move doesn't make sense in the slightest. I mean just look at Funders left handed split is terrible. I just don't get it.
  21. This is one of the reasons I can't stand Rocco. You don't bring in a rookie in such a high leverage situation.
  22. It was a nerve racking game to watch but given that the Twins have won a series or two against good ball clubs I have hope they will finally break the curse. Previous years going into the playoffs I never really believed they could go deep but I think this team actually would have a chance to do just that.
