    I hope Buxton figure it out, but last September we got a couple articles and a bunch of comments about how he figured it out, like we are starting to see again now. Small hot streaks are fun, but it's hard to get too excited about his offense. He has a wRC+ of 58. 58! And he's not getting ripped off by BABIP either, he's above average in BABIP. He does bring value on defense and when he actually gets on base, he's fun to watch, but he needs to improve a lot offensively or he's a even lighter version of Peter Bourjos.

    I'm leery of anything Bleacher Report writes. If Santana wasn't picked, I wouldn't consider it a snub. He is not far and away an all star pitcher. I wouldn't have him as a top AL starter (which isn't a slight against him, there are just better choices). Might get in there as a replacement for injury though.

    Season one of Broadchurch was one of my favorite seasons of any show ever. Season 2 was a bit of a letdown, but that seemed inevitable. Looking forward to see how Season 3 turned out.

    From the last post in yesterday's game thread: 'Edit: I looked up the game log on Brooks. Carrasco had 6 balls out of the strike zone called strikes, and zero balls in the strike zone called balls. Turley had 5 balls out of the strike zone called strikes, and 4 balls in the strike zone called balls. That's 5% of Carrasco's pitches called wrong, and that's 12% of Turley's pitches called wrong.' Got to wonder why the great pitch framer, Castro, couldn't help in this regard. :-)

    In the post I last responded to, YOU Said 'He had a serviceable first month.' YOU picked the time frame. In the first month (April), he ONLY HAD FIVE STARTS. He didn't have six starts. So I looked at the stats from April (the first month). The alternative was to go get better pitching (and not count on a guy who is coming off injury and hasn't been good for years).I guess I thought that was obvious, but I didn't say it. You're right.

    ugh. at the end of the first month, his ERA was over 5.00 while only going an average of 5 innings..I'm done with this debate, it was fun, thanks.
