    Nice plate appearance Sano!

I have worn umpire gear all day long on hot summer days and got paid way less than these guys.

Hey Morris, Mauer doesn't need your advice on hitting. And no one should swing 3-0 on any kind of regular basis.
  4. jimmer
how much do they need to talk about Gladden?

I like the uniforms. And since our normal Team colors fall right in line with the colors of the flag, it's perfect. A few days out of the year to celebrate the holiday works for me. And the best part 'All of MLB proceeds from the sale of Independence Day collection go towards supporting military veterans and their families.'

These announcers crack me up. That play was good not spectacular. It was a one hopper one step to his right. No need to go down to a knee. It was a routine play. They'd go nuts if they watched Arenado play 3B. Richard's head would pop right off his shoulders.
  7. jimmer
Broey? Does that mean delusional? Cause if so, I agree ;-)

I'm watching the Nats and Mets game and the Nats announcers are huge homers as well. They say he has played REALLY good this year at 2B. The guy is the worst defensive 2B in the game.

I think it's because he's not a MLB caliber pitcher. One nice 1/3 of a season to start his career, then baseball figured him out.

Alright all. I'm done for the night. GO TWINS!

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/tiny-altuve-standing-next-to-huge-judge-gets-meme-treatment/ar-BBDDgDA Judge: "Felt a raindrop. I think it's raining." Altuve: "I don't feel anything." Judge: "It's still falling. Should reach you any minute." A pitch at Jose Altuve's face is still a strike for Aaron Judge Judge: What are you doing after the game? Altuve: My mom is picking me up and we're going to Chuckie Cheese".

    last batter for Mejia
  13. jimmer
Did you see the picture of Altuve standing next to Judge? Some hilarious comments made.
  14. jimmer
no, he absolutely messed up too, but Sano's mistake is on Sano and no one else. You don't set yourself up to get thrown out at 3rd so a guy can get to 2nd.
  15. jimmer
So, wait a minute, Richard is blaming Sano's mistake on Kepler?
  16. jimmer
So does baseball-reference...because the info is given by the teams...
  17. jimmer
    ah, beautiful running
  18. jimmer
Yes Richard, tell us how bad the ORIOLES pitching is...
  19. jimmer
SO what you're saying Bert, is when Meijia was getting rocked, you didn't see what the Twins saw in him but when he started doing well, you did. Amazing, insightful analysis.
  20. jimmer
anyone surprised by how bad Santiago is?
  21. jimmer
Stop assigning some blame of the bullpen failures to the rotation Richard and Bert. Everyone knows one has nothing to do with the other :-) And Mauer hit another useless HR.
  22. jimmer
Hopefully the FO doesn't think this team is an actual contender and does the smart thing at the deadline. Though, based on last trade deadline.
  23. jimmer
Ah, yes the results that actually happened. The results (ERA) that evaluate pitchers' performance by taking into account not only what the pitcher did, but what his defense (to include the catcher who is half the battery) did too. Got it. Some might consider that a team effort and not just a pitcher's effort. Then there are the judgments of official scorers that get considered too. As a fan of the Twins, I AM glad Santana got in though. I just think there are more deserving candidates not only in the starter department, but the reliever department as well.
  24. jimmer
just like ERA and bWAR are tied together and plenty have serious issues with ERA too.

Rest assured only when it's a foregone conclusion that the Twins WIN the W Series will France jump in and help...
